I see in the news that there were quite a few thousand protesters in Trafalgar Square saying Covid 19 is a hoax perpetrated by Bill Gates.
Masks should not be worn and they will not have a vaccine.

Now I admit i do believe in fairy tales, ie, Sunderland are going to be taken over by a billionaire and will be in the Champions League in a few years.

But to believe the world is flat, the moon landings were bollocks, etc and now utter tripe about Covid, I suppose Trump is a Icke convert too.

    People are ****ing morons.

People will exploit their moronic ways.

The world is full of folk who’d rather listen than read and it shows more every single day.

Why the hell do they think Bill Gates is behind it? Computer nerd who became one of the richest people on the planet and gave huge amounts of money to charity for many years doesn't exactly scream diabolical criminal mastermind.

Some of the aims of the "Bill an Melinda Gates Foundation" are to reduce or wipe out some of the diseases affecting the poor of the world, and they've said that a large part of doing that is to get everyone vaccinated for things that there are existing vaccines for, and develop new vaccines and treatments for other diseases. The idiots are already wary of vaccines, so that's probably rung their alarm bells. In an interview, he mentioned something about it being possible to put some sort of micrchip under a persons skin, where you could record their medical history, vaccination record etc. That's not an aim of his foundation, and it was probably just the nerd/technologist in him coming out in the interview. However, they've now conflated this into "Bill Gates wants to vaccinate everyone in the world in order to insert a microchip to control their brains".

Icke was okay when he was going on about shape shifting lizards an that as it's canny harmless. The anti vaccine thing is crazy though but I suppose all these supporters of it will be happy enough if/when their kids catch measles. Horrible to think this disease is on the rise when it's possible to safely vaccinate against it.

The funniest thing would be for him to refuse the vaccine and stand against it and he’s the first one to die.<laugh>

I know stupid exists (ie me and other posters on here, supporting a team who has slid down further than a gold medallist in a bob sleigh on the Cresta Run)

But to say medicine is a fraud etc, is just stupid/bonkers beyond belief... I bet there are not many folk who have not used antibiotics to cure an infection etc. I know some religious nutters will not have blood transfusions..

Yes if course tests/trials are needed to check any new medicine does not have adverse side effects ( something Trump & Putin are not bothered about?). But the measles vaccine mentioned above us a case in point. My dear old mum used to tell me about infant mortality in Jarrow in the 30s.
I suppose the anti-vaxxers will die out at some point and not pass on the stupid gene.

We have both evolved far too far for our own good and not nearly evolved far enough.

    People are the disease.

I listened to summat on radio last week where they asked the main supermarkets to confirm their policies on wearing masks in their shops, and NONE of the main big names would say it was compulsory, every one saying that staff and customers were free to make their own decisions about mask wearing. IMO it should be law to wear a mask in all shops.

Apparently you don’t have to wear one if it makes you ‘anxious’ :steam:

It's happened to god botherers in America a few times. God will protect me, I don't need to wear masks or stop shaking folks hands, 3 weeks later dead.

Plenty other stories like this from over there as well
