Leeds United have signed Spain forward Rodrigo from Valencia for a club record 29m euro (£26m) fee. Rodrigo, 29, has signed a four-year contract with Marcelo Bielsa's side, who are back in the Premier League after a 16-year absence. He scored 59 goals in 220 games for Valencia, helping the La Liga club win the Copa del Rey in 2018-19. Leeds' previous record transfer was former England captain Rio Ferdinand, who cost £18m from West Ham in 2000

Splashing £26million on a player who turns 30 within 6 months of the season restarting... buys them proven quality for their current campaign, but not exactly one they will see much of a resale value on.

Our transfer target Ollie Rathbone not included in the Rochdale squad at all today. Rochdale fans think that’s ominous.
He was out injured part of last season and ended up making 24 appearances, but played most games in the previous three seasons, so he’s obviously not injured that regularly.
They aren’t wrong. In the last 4 seasons he’s played on average about 28 games a year. Although it’s better than Toral.
Eberechi Eze Has signed for Palace on a five year deal, by far the best player against us last season.
