Anyone else find it odd we are in for a striker? We have our leading man off the back of a 20+ goal season. Che Adams has finally found some form and began adapting to the league. Shane Long is good back who provides a different option and has just signed a 2 year deal. Then we have a pacey youngster breaking through who has looked decent for his age in the games he has played. Doesn't stack up when you look at our depth (lack of) and quality across other areas.
If Ings got injured long term would you not be a little concerned by our GF column for the season? Man City don't need Messi... Though I accept central midfield is the priority.
It's the Echo. They just reproduce any stuff they see on twitter. I don't think they have any serious contacts at the club for legitimate information.
Adam Leitch was always very good, as was his successor Dan Sheldon, but since both found pastures new, I’m not sure they have a Sports department left.
I'd rather Ings pick up an injury that JWP. Who would you have more confidence in - Adams & Long or Romeu & well nobody, guess it would be Smallbone playing slightly out of position
They dont. They share with bournemoith echo and their job is scouring twitter and newsnow and reporting on anything that appears. Not even worth bothering with now.
Goals keep you in a division which is why strikers cost more on average therefore losing Ings is a bigger concern but I do agree we wouldn't want to be short in the middle.
always remember this match, it was pre-Clasie, but Cork, Morgan, Big Vic, Tadic & Mane were all out. The club were on a five game losing streak. JWP, Davis & Reed made up the midfield. It wasn’t just the expectations which were short.
All spurs signings this summer have been so "Meh". Not one of them a bad player but they ain't gona get them top 4 . Very strange.
