    :D

Saw this the other day but nothing seems to be said in North East news.
Hopefully getting a few yunguns in the academy after speculation Donald was winding it down.

Have a soft spot for Wrexham and and have supported them home and away years ago. Hope they get promotion back to the football league.

And here is a nostalgic video for your enjoyment. :)

    Edit.
Good luck Bobby and welcome to Sunderland.

hope he turns out to be a jewel in the crown and that we have a good contract if bigger clubs come sniffing as is usually the case.

I was at that match . . . . one of the best away games ever :emoticon-0148-yes:

If my memory serves me right, we thought that we'd been promoted until 'ages' after the final whistle when the news came through that Stoke had won 1-0 against some ****er with a very late goal to deny us . . . . bastards :emoticon-0101-sadsm

My main memory from the game was after the final whistle, when one of our lads (pissed like most of us were, I presume - well I was, like I am now, I think, thanks to beer then and rum & black now) in the stand behind the goal to our right fell from the top tier . . . . he must have had a bit of a headache afterwards <cheers>

As Mary Hopkin used to say . . . . those were the days, my friend :emoticon-0105-wink:
