That's probably because Fergie recognised that despite his moments of madness, Cantona was an intelligent guy. Whereas Maguire is just a sack of fooking spuds. I just think of some of the greatest names in world football....and then I hear this name Harry Maguire, who the fook is he, the Greek police probably thought the same.

When utd used to spend big on someone 9 times out of ten they were nailed on to be a success nowadays that's not the case at all. Maguire was like cementing that after Pogba for me. Weird. Almost self destructive.

Not sure how appeals work overseas but generally when something goes to a higher court the stakes also go higher. Imagine this **** eventually ends up doing actual time for bribing coppers when he could've just spent a night in the cells

I've no idea what happened tbh. Both sides are believable in their own way. Definitely not surprised that he's appealed mind, hardly had time to mount a defence.

 

I'm not a fan of Maguire, what's the guy actually done that's worthy of any headlines, oh yeah he got nicked on holiday. There is absolutely no way he was ever worth the figure paid for him, United were mugged off, big time. He'd have been better off going back to Sheffield United. Man U is too big a club for him.

 

That story had more holes in it than an innocent black man's back surrounded by cops in the US. For a start, his sister sounds pissed and passing out; he says he thought they were being kidnapped, so his first call was to... his agent, and he says he never said 'Do you know who I am?' because 'Five minutes before that' they had said he'd never play football again, so ergo they knew who he was. Five minutes before what, if it never happened? Have the Greek police alleged a specific time when he tried to bribe them, and if so, having been on a bender all day, how the **** can he be so specific?
