I don't know much about this but .io refers to a tiny island (British Indian Ocean Territory) which has no permanent residents. So what's the deal? They seem legitimate but seems strange, are they based in UK?

The .io is just the internet domain name. Means nothing about the location of the company. You could create a website with a .io domain if you wanted to.

Sportsbet hq is probably in a tax haven. Most betting companies are registered in tax havens.

I can eat a burger and still be healthy. Doesn't mean I want McDonald's promoted on the front of the shirt.

If someone wants to take crack cocaine they will, but doesn’t mean it’s right to be on the front of a football shirt.

Are there no society morals anymore?

I dont know is it? Cant say I know alot about advertising laws. But if you're allowed to do something which makes you money then you're gonna do it. Really dnt see the issue.

Did we not already have an official betting partner in Unibet?

I think you’ve confused yourself. You said drugs were illegal (and the I assumed you referred to Gambling being legal..) and therefore I mentioned a list of products that are also legal but I don’t think should be on the front of a football shirt.

Ok.. I don’t like it because gambling to me is a business that more often than not leads to the punter losing. In the case of gambling it is also something that by advertising it, you are potentially encouraging someone down a dark path of life.

it’s hardly the same as a housing company or a tool company on the front of a shirt.

Football is also the most popular sport in the country and putting gambling front and foremost to impressionable eyes. It’s like their heroes saying “Gambling is good”

This is true, but does this mean it is acceptable to encourage it? This is why I am not happy that Saints have done it. We should have stood our ground (in my opinion).

If people have so little willpower that they get themselves into debt through betting then that's a personal problem. Saints using them as a sponsor is irrelevant. Self control is a choice.
