    HMRC are buying us.

Every bit of tax all clubs pay, we get it to spend on transfers.

Thought the Nick Barnes podcast was a decent listen and he kept his word from a month ago that new owners (should) be in charge of the club end of August / before season starts. He again rubbished anybody else other than FPP / Sartori being the exclusive party given that he was told that DD wouldnt be a problem. This all fits (and hasnt took any other route tbh) and ties in with @Magnus & @Smug in Boots info. Given that it has been a month since he broke the news I (honestly) expected his story to change and maybe dampen down the original news and not keep anybodys hopes up, but as there has been no announcement or comms from the club in a long time and Barnes has kept to his original story this is the best indication that a deal is more probable than not imo.

Its more likely that William Storey has been a plant by (possibly) Methven or just even a PR stunt for his own publicity but as said I am even more positive in thought that this takeover will happen after listening to the podcast

    Good post @6inarow ....

I really hope it's not a Methven ploy to try and extract more money from our roumered buyers, he will be a proper tool if he's guilty...

Didnt he try something similar last year ?

I think his PR has worked in some aspects while he's been here - Season ticket sales etc.

As this is his day to day job he is good at it but in a lot of ways it has back fired massively on him - if this is him planting Storey its just a disaster tbh

I thought storey was some kind of pointless PR bollox but he's started wording his tweets differently, it's as if he now knows there is someone in talks, who already has an investment/stake in the club. So he could well have an actual bid on the table, but Donald has to deal with Juan/furhman first as they could stall or stop any other deal of they want to take full control.

If this were to be the case then his mouth has probably blocked him from been allowed in the 'data room'. In his interview on the radio he slated Sartori and the americans as just corporate suits with no interest other than their pockets. Now if Storey is allowed in the boardroom with an offer - If he doesnt want to put a £10 mill lumper down to get rid of the loan before anything else then Donald has got to turn round to FPP to see if they are ok for him to talk to Storey - somehow I think they might block him

There has never been anything in the Storey situation. The motivation is either a smoke screen or self publicity on the back of the club. The same is true of MG there is nothing in it.

Flatheed knows his stuff, although why MG would (or could) keep quiet, I will never know

I’ve thought for a while that this Storey story is a bit of a false flag operation.

This is the interesting part for sure, why did he suddenly go silent? That reeks of NDA!

I personally think that when MG and his group approached SD that they were informed about the NDA with the other group and he feels that they are a good group to have moving forward so has kept quiet unlike previously when Madrox took over. Could be complete rubbish but that’s my take on it.

That could well be the flip side to it. If so, hats off to MG for not attempting to derail it!

Or it makes people think there’s an NDA and that promotes a bit of interest in MG. He may well have tried but nothing has come to fruition.
