There's loads who never post about Sunderland, only other posters ... ... very poor quality crack. Enjoy yersel over there mate.
Aye, I thought you were near, the year below me. I don’t miss work at all. Did you not get furloughed? A few of my mates who said they wouldn’t pack in work because they liked it, have now planned to pack in. They’ve had a taste for it and know what’s in store. Me dad died when he was 59, I retired last year approaching 60, so what I’ve got left is a bonus. still fit mentally and physically. My birthday is September 1st, rotten sods made me stay on a year at school, so you’ll probably know who I am now?
To be honest, I’m careful what I say on there, but sometimes my username is like hoying a fish bone to a load of feral cats. I dont care who I upset over there really, but I’m part of the furniture on here which is nice. I can’t seem to annoy anyone.
Mine is the second so I got the same deal. Still haven’t worked out who you are mind. Then again it was a long time ago. I wasn’t furloughed it was business as usual for us. Apart from the testing.
There are people over there who just need a platform, for any kind of human contact, so they post things they know will get them a like. You're just a 'justifiable target' most will turn a blind eye to. They're like a stream of piss in a back alley ... ... stink to high heaven and always take the easiest course.
Have you got the same username ower there. I don’t remember it before I packed it in late last year, too many wums.
KGC83 on RTG having a go at Prehab, no doubt Kittenmittons will be straight on his case. 'I don't want to criticise him ... ... but I will anyway' "I don’t want to criticise prehab with the **** going on in his private life but look through his posts, he doesn’t say one concrete thing. Just all smoke and mirrors."
@Smug in Boots was/is the legal action against the individual or against RTG itself? Would imagine the latter be more effective. Prob. take something like that to have a positive impact on the place / mods standards in force over there.
I can't say too much as it's an ongoing situation. However one of the Mods, there to moderate the forum and police it, was implicit in allowing my personal details to be shared. He also came onto this forum to fraudulently misrepresent himself as connected to SAFC and Donald. As such he threatened me with legal action hence my response.
The Mod in question deleted dozens of posts and pms, to cover his tracks, but I'd already copied them all over the last 2 years since I realised the extent of his grudge.
Subsequent 'apology' ... ... "I certainly haven’t personally attacked any of his posts regarding this takeover. I only said I can understand why people are questioning it. Let’s leave it there mate."
My two penneth worth for all it matters. Always take people as I find them. @Smug in Boots has always come across as a decent bloke who is just trying to give a bit of info/hope to the rest of us. Might be wrong but I think he called the FPP story 1st and there must have been truth in it as they eventually turned up to watch a match. So it didn't work out, possibly due to SD's greed, but that can't be blamed on Smug. In a worst case scenario, even if he was on a wind up, and I don't believe that he was, it made last summer interesting in what was otherwise a depressing time football wise and affected my work productivity a lot, which can only be a good thing. I'll gladly buy him a pint if I ever see him at a match to thank him for the hours of entertainment/hope that he has given us over the past year or so.
Personally I just start from a basic view that everyone who posts on message boards is a knob. Then get pleasantly surprised when people prove you wrong. It’s easier.
Excellent post mate, not just because of the praise or offer of a pint which does constitute a legally binding contract btw! What the weird band of faceless internet warriors miss is that some of us are just decent genuine people who come on forums for the same laugh they get at the matches. I mix with the same daft people who travel the country, drink beer and sing songs in praise of a ragtag bunch of mercenaries in stripy shirts. Someone on RTG earlier said that the relentless bile stems from people jealous that they're left out and don't enjoy those experiences. There might be some truth in that tbh. The keyboard haters spend 99% of their time attacking other posters and never seem to have any crack about matches, past games or escapades with the lads. So one of the dafter ones, like me, must enrage them sitting there just getting older and grumpier. No matter how many people say 'yeah I know him from the matches, decent bloke, good supporter' it won't change their opinion because it's the last thing they want to hear. They don't want to listen because no one thinks they're a laugh, shows them any respect or wants to engage them. So they'll just carry on with their narrow minded agenda until, one day, they keel over and stop posting ... ... no one will even notice they don't post any more, and they know it. They're just identikit clones all churning out the same contrary drivel. Even through the darkest days I try to have a laugh on here, I'm glad you noticed. To me this place is just like real life, a bunch of daft blokes chatting about stuff and having a laugh about life. Those who can't just chill out and join in become increasingly bitter which further ostracisises them. F**k them mate, life's too short
