No idea where he'll end up, but he hasn't been in pre-season training with us, so presumably he's on his way somewhere.
Sorry. I should have mentioned that. But there's quite often a release clause when a club gets relegated from the Premier League but they haven't been mentioned with us getting relegated from the Championship.
I'm sure i saw that West Brom where looking at him, that was a few weeks ago seen nothing since apart from the talk about Leeds being interested.
Good business then. We might get more then 45 mins once in a blue moon out of one the new players for half the price.
is it possible that Lopes and Elder have been home during the break and had to do the 14day quarantine on arriving back in the u.k.
Exactly this!! Any player that doesn't want to play for Hull City(which the vast majority didn't last season),is more than welcome to leave for pastures new and make way for players who do..
Totally agree with this Ric. Too many mistakes have been made with players who didn’t want to be here. Better to move them on and take the money to re invest in players who want to make a name for themselves., ie hungry young players. Often watching the highlights players looked to be going through the motions, missed tackles or headers etc., . I am looking forward to seeing some of these players next year. I just hope Grant can learn some lessons from last season. That I am not too sure about.
But the money from outgoings will go to the club and the taxpayer will still foot the bill for the government money used to furlough Hull City staff?
Elder was pictured with Danny Drinkwater abroad on holiday somewhere. I'm certain I read somewhere that Elder and Coyle were both doing 'indoor work' only at the moment - would makes sense, as we've not seen Coyle in any training pics yet either, plus the rumour going round that he's injured.
So what of Wetherspoons,Jet 2,B.A,McDonald's,KFC,Burger King and just about every other retailer out there? C and C group are one of the largest brewing groups in the U.K with a massive multi-million pound turnover, they furloughed 70% of their workforce during the pandemic. Are we to question what they do with profit they make for every pint sold of Magners,Bulmers,Tennents lager etc? Furlough was designed to attract abuse and it did just that!
Please Pleased to see the lad has got a contract, I wonder if they will play him in midfield rather than in defence. He was always seen as good midfield prospect in the U18s before he got moved into defence.
He’ll be relishing the first game. No doubt he’s shared information on our tactical genius of a manager with his new club.
