I'm putting the hard yards in marra, trying to keep it on track. Been working at it so hard 'Im seeing Eva Mendes' nipples on the inside of me eyelids.

I don't lose any sleep over people like him and KM being banned because they are tedious as **** but yeah not a banning offence. It's easy enough not to read someone's posts especially if you put them on ignore not that I've ever bothered doing that.

Banning people (for any length of time) who are a little bit disruptive and go against the grain has an uncomfortably cliquey feel. Used to be anything goes on here.

It's been a long day checking messages etc, as well as dealing with a family issue.

Before I clock out I'll just confirm that everything I've posted has come to me in good faith and been passed on in good faith.

I believe Donald is going so that's the thought ill go to bed on. I know people are trying to rally support for the man ....

... but, in my opinion, he's done a Lee Clarke and worn the wrong t-shirt.

You had your chance Donald and you blew it, there is no way back.

    That's my concern.
It used to be possible to heatedly disagree with someone on here but forget about it all the next day and get along just as well as you did before.
Sometimes its interesting to have a contrary character knocking around.
It feels like we're heading towards censorship if you don't conform now.

"Used to be anything goes on here."

That's true which made it the same half a dozen blokes insulting each other, talking about how pissed they get, posting inappropriate clips and apologising the next day for insulting everyone.

This latest wum obviously came on to derail a decent thread and just wanted an argument.

He hasn't been barred, he's been given a week's rest after saying he wasn't going to post any more.

I really don't see your problem.

I think it's a balancing act for the mods tbf. An anything goes attitude is much more the culture of PF imo and not really how I'd describe this place, which I think of as being a more civilised place. Plenty of folk having disagreements right now on threads but none have turned into the mess that NQD managed to create for a while.

Personally, think the board in general is better off without posters like him, plenty of fine folk on here to fill the data waves.

Disagreements are fine, he appeared to be doing it to disrupt constantly. He's made his point several times but felt the need to constantly repeat to anyone who showed a hint of optimism to the point it was looking disingenuous in my opinion.

I didn't like him any more than you did but I don't see any good reason to 'give him a rest'. Is it in the site rules that you can get temp banned for being a bit annoying?

My only discomfort with the NQD situation, as a fellow newbie, is that it took just one post with him disagreeing with the status quo, for him to then be piled on. He got quite defensive about it which was partly understandable at first.

The way he went on did not help whatsoever and I’m glad he’s getting a breather. But it did strike me as odd the way he was immediately shouted down. Didn’t find it massively welcoming.

Just some honest, no agenda feedback from a newbie who’d never heard of this forum until last week

He became increasingly aggressive and insulting when that was all he cane for ...

... dunno why he wasted so much time getting to the point tbh.

I will give the man credit for one thing, he did improve things massively off the field on the financial side. Had it not been for the debt write of the club would have made a decent profit. On the field is a different story but I dont think we will ever find his plans had it gone right. Its time for him to do the noble thing. He has this offer from some very good people its time accept he has done his all. Take the money offered and get back the majority of what you put in. Go and live a quiet life with your family not having to worry about us lot. You gave it your best shot now please give the club it’s best chance of getting back to where it belongs.

I agree with you really, there are site rules though and it's starting to feel like they're being ignored if your face doesn't fit. Used to be loads of Newcastle fans posted on here and yeah a lot of them were twats but that's life isn't it, rough and the smooth? Now we only let on the ones who could moonlight as diplomats.

But why let facts get in the way of a narrow minded opinion, loads of people asked him to explain why and how certain things have definitely happened and would still mean nothing is happening at the club, it’s not viable to repeatedly say nothing is happening when it clearly is, there might not be an outcome that we want but something is 100% going on, that is why I would invisage he has been given a rest, or because it’s mittens who is already banned for racism

Personally I agree with the mods and think he wasn't just being a bit annoying but was being deliberately disruptive so the fact he gets a weeks holiday is all fine to me. If the lad wants to have a reasonable discussion, raise points, be questioned on them (which is going to happen on a message board) and respond to them, fine, all good. Every one else on here manages to go on like that and not have a problem. Well, apart from mittens, and surprise, surprise, he was going on in much the same way. And got the same result.

The Newcastle fans don't even post on their own board man <laugh>

The Mag Mod systematically banned people, for no good reason, and killed the banter.

The Mags on here now are decent lads who make a good contribution.

If you want better content perhaps you should start a thread, I don't think you've bothered this year tbf..

Otherwise you have to accept what you get.
