If I was effectively forced into selling a player because he was acting like a petulant twat for the second summer running I would do my utmost to annoy him and the club that has an expectation that they the god given right to take your players at will. Modric is a brilliant player but an absolute twat of a man whose class on the pitch is outweighed by his lack of class as a person.
When it comes to a key player we don’t want to sell I hope Levy continues to make it an absolute nightmare for the buying clubs. Change the goalposts every single minute for all I care. It’s only those who we want to bin that I’d want done ASAP. Modric is the best player I’ve seen play for Spurs so I’m glad his departure was a real bitch to get done from Madrid’s side, his too, as he went about things the wrong way, even if he did finally apologise about 5 years later.
