    The more excitement a rumour generates, the sh1ttier the player actually turns out to be when we finally sign him. Gaston, Osvaldo, even Jordi Clasie.

    That goal against City justifies his entire existence. Also, hanging one on Fonte in training takes on a new perspective in light of subsequent events.

    Only player that might leave is Vestergaard. Heard nothing re Bednarek, though Sky sports reported chelsea's intetest in January. Keep an eye out for training pics. Im not trying to keep everyone guessing. Some stuff is detrimental to the club. I'm sure Ralph will do the right thing. He wants to build something here and his obsession with stats will point him to the right areas to strengthen.

    Having listened to Jose being interviewed recently I feel like he should have stuck one on les reed rather than Fonte. Jose has a lot of love for the club.

    Agree. Fonte was a great servant and should have been given the length contract he wanted.
    When VVD left we realised what an error it was, only this season have we got a respectable CB pairing.

    Still hugely gutted that he never played in the Europa league, or in the league Cup final.

    Would have been a fitting for him to lead us out on those big occasions.
