    Sunderland have taken 3 new academy players on the books Bobby Beaumont defender,Sam Wilding winger, Vinnie Steels midfield, who came from the Burnley academy.Story is in the echo

    100% commitment would do for me. A modicum of skill would be a bonus.

    Kevin Ball wasnt the best player in the world but he is idolised by most because of his effort and never say die attitude. PS, plus scaring the sh*t out of Vinnie Jones

    One of our old players is on Skysports now. Max Stryjek playing in goal for Livingston against Rangers.

    Saw the last 20 mins. John untroubled as expected in Scotland. Max looked pretty good to be fair. One worldy save and his kicking off the floor rivals pickford in terms of length. Wonder why he didnt get a crack with us?

    I wonder too, he is one of many that we have thrown to the wall and replaced with dross, on loan or undisclosed fees, no doubt costing more and wrecking the whole idea of an academy system in the process.

    Steels was at York a couple of years ago and was picked up by Burnley from there. Hoping he does really well here as I know his Auntie and his godfather among others in his family and they are a top bunch of people.

    apparently man u have just bought/poached a 16 year old off us for £300,000 and are giving him 1.2k a week. It's a lad I know sons best friend. Cant remember the kids name but knowing our luck he'll become the next Messi and we'll have basically given him away. <doh>
