I'm hacked off hearing we couldnt afford to put in a bid for some hack I've never heard of, and is probably some hacks dreamt up guess on what Brentford or some other unknown team of hacks will do. Meanwhile we are supposed be increasing our interest in a £2 million rated unknown hack Dykes, an Aussie/Scot hack striker who plays for Livingstone and half the other hack teams in the UK have also got hacks on for as well. Eze, BOS just stay and continue having fun at QPR, and save us seeing all this sh*te.
I thought, following someones on heres suggestion, we had already put in a bid of £4million for Palaces Zaha. Not sure he is as good as Eze, and he is a bolshy sort of player....
24 goals in over 130 games - not a great return for a striker in the SPFL, whether it be in the Championship or Premiership. I may have seen him when he played for QoS, but if so he didn't stand out as anything special at the time.
Qpr release Rangel, been a good when in the side & shame about injuries, was hoping we might offer him a coaching role
I liked Rangel. He wasn't quite a busted flush when we got him and we saw some of his previous Premiership quality. Good luck to him
I fear for you Oslo. When we sell Eze for £13m and replace him with Alan Judge you'll have to give one of us your address so we can check in on you!!
Rangel gets injured while working for QPR then we pay him up till end of contract. I know that there is no legal right to pay for someone not on the payroll BUT seeing how they got injured whilst playing for you then surely it is morally right to pay them until they are fit. I guess the other side of coin is (1) why should I pay for someone who has fulfilled their contract - they knew the risks and hazards but in this case, surely someone that could have turned into a coach for us?
No thanks - don't want players having _even more_ power. The only thing that should tempt Eze or BOS to sign a new contract about now is that a career ending injury can happen in any training session or match (please not in their case!) and winding down your contract is a risk if you get a one year injury with six months left on your deal. Forcing clubs to pay injured players would make it even less appealing for players like them to sign new deals. Edit - sorry, didn't show any sympathy in that post for Angel, who I do feel gutted for. Amazing pro who has been very unlucky to get that injury. Wish him all the best and glad the club are helping him beyond his contract a bit.
Me too - he would've been great. We did the same with Clint when I think he could've continued in a player/coach role - but he ended up spending a season at Rangers then another at Carlisle showing je had it in him (although not at our level). Due to his injury, I doubt Angel will get a playing contract at Championship level, but I wouldn't be surprised if he turned up in the backroom staff at Swansea
Maybe I'm wrong but I think Rangel's contract was just extended for the 9 games after the shutdown and is therefore already finished. Good of the Club to support his rehab. Maybe he will make a good Coach and Manager one day.
with ref to my earlier comment re Rangel, at the time of writing the comment I was not aware that the club will be helping during his rehab. Well done Rangers.
Of course that first suggestion cannot happen. A kid gets an ACL a week into a 3 year contract and never plays again, it is not right to pay him forever...but it is right to pay him to the end of his contract. Rangel's contract was until the June, and he graciously extended that to the end of the season. I am sure we paid that in full. We could not take him on another year contract, knowing he would not play until Jam at the earliest. Though what we have done, is help him with rehab and training. I assume the idea is 1) He does not pay for that rehab 2) He is a real good egg, both socially and within the club and perhaps when fit again he will take up a coaching role. It is obvious that both the club (and his previous club Swansea) really think highly of him. I hope we do
Good to see Covid not suppressing transfer fees with Sheffield United spending 18.5 ****ing million pounds for Aaron ****ing who the **** is he Ramsdale. Shoot me in the ****ing face when we get £15m for Eze.
