I'm willing to hear the club's argument for making us pay for August, but as it stands I can't understand why we are being made to. I've now been waiting for over a week and a half and now chased a couple of times, to absolutely no response. If this was a normal business they'd be getting a formal complaint.
I think what I find frustrating is that I was polite in the email, I didn't rant and rave, just pointed out the facts from my end and asked for more information. To not even credit it with a response is really really poor.
Finally got a generic reply saying that there will be a generic update. Didnt bother to touch on any of my points. My MP, Martin Vickers, is going to contact the chairman to get him to respond personally to me.
Yeah I don't hold out much hope but at least it will add proof to them acting unreasonably should I take it any further.
Emailed last week pointing out I was now a concession. Responded within 2 days. DD amended and refund back in my account for March overpayment. And no I’m not Ehab.
HULL CITY WOULD ONCE AGAIN LIKE TO THANK ALL MEMBERS FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT, PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING DURING WHAT HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE A TURBULENT, DIFFICULT AND UNCERTAIN TIME FOR ALL SPORTING CLUBS. We would like to apologise for not communicating the next steps regarding Memberships sooner but, after the recent announcement that Membership payments would restart in August following three months of payment holidays, the Club would like to reaffirm that Members will not be left out of pocket. For example: • The four matches that were played at the KCOM Stadium following the resumption of the 2019/20 campaign were covered by the Membership payment holidays that were put in place for May and June, meaning that members did not miss out on any games through overpayment, with the payment holidays offering a pro rata saving equivalent to those four games. • An adult Member paying £30 per month would usually pay £360 to cover all 23 homes games, equating to £15.65 per game. The payment holiday actioned by the Club meant that all adult Members paid £300 to attend 19 home games last season, which resulted in a slight increase of 14p to £15.79 per game. Despite Membership payments now being taken again, the Club will continually monitor the value of games attended by all Members this season and will always ensure that alternative products and services are provided in the event of intermittent or suspended ability to attend the KCOM Stadium, which may include things such as match streaming, retail credit in Tiger Leisure or free cup tickets. In addition, payment holidays may again be put in place should the season be curtailed. As things stand, Members are unable to attend games at the KCOM Stadium until October, which may result in two home games played behind closed doors. This would mean that the payment holiday that the Club put in place in July ensures Members aren’t out of pocket based on the remaining 21 home games of the season being covered by 11 subsequent monthly payments. To again use the example of an adult Member paying £30 per month, this would equate to £15.71 per game. To reiterate, if more games are played behind closed doors we will always monitor the value of a Membership to ensure games that are able to be attended are in line with the pro rata match price of a membership. Alternatively, we will offer compensation options as outlined above. We would also like to confirm that Membership prices will remain the same ahead of the 2020/21 season. We have reviewed prices across League One and feel ours are a fair reflection whilst also factoring in the significantly increased costs the Club will incur to ensure matchdays are compliant with COVID-19 measures that we have to adhere to. We hope to be able to communicate the processes for fans returning to the KCOM as soon as possible, with our expectation being that it will be a Members only approach in the first instance. There is likely to be a need for all Members to register their friends and family groups with us to enable us to maximise the number of people we can accommodate in the KCOM Stadium whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines. Get ****ed.
You may have a point. Surely the likelihood of a win has an effect on the quality of a game and, therefore, the quality of the membership.
I accept their coatings for last season, although maintain free home streams for members would have gone a long way to helping relations. I’m still wildly unhappy that there is no commitment to what happens if a game is played behind closed doors. They’ve mentioned three possible scenarios, free streaming, Tiger Leisure vouchers and more payment holidays. Why not commit to allowing members to choose between a free stream or the equivalent cost back for every match missed? I honestly think people would not mind paying their £30 for that as they know they won’t lose out? The statement answers none of my questions about what we’ve paid £30 for
It answers everything clearly. Whether you are happy with the answers is another matter. It’s not ambiguous. It levels out the costs over time and I can see the argument. But I don’t want to be part of it. An obvious question would be what are the prices for the new season? I’m out, so I have less interest in the answer, now.
