I'm glad you cleared that up GLP... I watched the vid before you posted it and thought Jeeeees. Scots Div 2 larker...
as good a footballer as he has been, i dont see that CCC cubs will be falling over themselves to sign him. 34 this year. Maybe depends on how much he wants to keep playing as to whether he'll sign for a L1 club. Would love to see him back with us .... but dont see it happening - due to unlikely to fit into McCanns / Enobs playing style (be that Plan A or Plan B which is Plan A but trying harder or Plan C which is ....), money or location.
Not playing sweeper he wouldn't. Class is permanent and Big Tom oozes it. He'd still be the best player on the pitch every game in Lg 1 if he played on one leg wearing a blindfold.
Couldn’t agree more but terry doesn’t play with a sweeper and there’s no way Tom could play in a midfield two with the ground they have to cover.
Do you believe in Fairies too? Goblins? Elfs? If Tom signs for City, I'll join you in the flat earth society
He's done his badges hasnt he? Get him in as player/coach, wont be long before McCann ****s things up and make big Tom manager!
McCann tells RH that Angus McDonald’s departure from the club was down to the EFL’s new salary cap rules for League 1 & 2.
Fair play that. No I didn't believe we'd get him. But I saw every game he played. Home games anyway. I've never been big on away games, maybe three a season. He was a cracking player and despite what some have said, he wasn't overweight, he was just a ****ing big unit. As for him maybe being a coach, I remember a couple of our players being in one of those quick fire Q&A interviews and one of the questions was 'who in the squad is most likely to become a manager?' and they both said Tom Huddlestone, because he was a big student of the game, tactically, so that idea might have legs. Oh and I do know he really liked living in Hull.
For the avoidance of any doubt, the Huddlestone thing is a joke, we're quite obviously not going to sign anyone close to his level.
