Bloody hell - looking at the response I’d say that’s a really serious one. Hope it’s just the services being careful and sending too many vehicles .....
Not much info coming out yet but the pictures don’t like great. It’s also in a rural and difficult to access location which won’t be helping the services.
Here’s a recap of when a much-younger Donald Trump first met Pocahontas. Clearly he never listened to her advice, sadly:
All well here, thanks for the thought ! The train was almost empty due to the local COVID lockdown, so could have been worse. What next !
Awful. This just shows that thunderstorms are not just dramatic and spectacular. They're dangerous and people take them too lightly. The amount of rain that can fall in a thunderstorm and how quickly it falls is alarming.
I've also been in the middle of a storm in the States twice and believe me, they weren't fun occasions. The second time a tornado passed within 2 miles of where I was. I could hear the warning sirens. Not going to forget that night in a hurry.
A man was leaving a coffee shop with his espresso,…when he noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery. A black hearse was followed by a second black hearse about 50 feet behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary Italian man walking a dog on a leash. Behind him, a short distance back, were about 200 men walking in single file. The man couldn’t stand the curiosity. He respectfully approached the Italian man walking the dog and said: “I am so sorry for your loss, and this may be a bad time to disturb you, but I’ve never seen an funeral like this. Whose funeral, is it?” “My wife’s.” “What happened to her?” “She yelled at me and my dog attacked and killed her.” He inquired further, “But who is in the second hearse?” “My mother-in-law. She came to help my wife and the dog turned on her and killed her also.” It was a very poignant and touching moment of the man and Italian man. Silence passed between the two men. The man then asked: “Can I borrow the dog?” The Italian man replied, * * * * * * * * * * * “Get in the line.”
We had a few claps of thunder in BA3, but no rain. A bit cooler today though, thank goodness, couldn’t sleep a wink last night.
It was bloody hot last night - I drove back from seeing my daughter in Reading at about 11 and it was 23.5 on the car' gauge when I got home ...... Never fear, people. I'm playing golf at 12 in Winchester - so I'm expecting torrential downpours and tornadoes around 12.30 or so - just when we're farthest from the clubhouse ......
I have a weather station at home (Doesn’t everyone?!) and here is the week so far in a graph. peaks at over 30 and the lowest is about 18 at 4am.
