Pleased to see they have more than reached their target for the Jack Leslie statue. Great effort and the most pleasing part is it was thought of by ordinary folk, collected by ordinary folk and donated in the main by ordinary folk. Hallett not trying to claim any part in it or the club. States they just supported the efforts.

There is mention of Marcus Maddison on the pasoti rumour thread. That's the bloke who got one of our's sent off a couple of seasons ago by throwing himself to the ground and pretending to be hurt. I cannot stand the bloke and hope upon hope he would never be brought here. He is a serial diver and several have had a red card for nothing because of him. Just don't want players like that no matter how good people think they are.

We couldn't afford a player with such an Oscar nomination value as that.

Talk of West Brom's Alex Palmer going out on loan to Lincoln....what the hell is that about....what good is that to the keeper who last season was acclaimed the best in Div 2......Why would they lend him to a club below the Championship ?.

Neil Warnock is bringing his Middlesborough team down to Cornwall for some pre-season training.....we know that he will be using some of PAFC's facilities whilst here....and possibly arrange a training game against Argyle if possible.....I don't think anything has officially been announced at present....but it would seem a missed opportunity if nothing happened....seeing the connection between Warnock and Argyle

Nearly 5,000 season tickets have now been renewed. Well done PAFC.

There will be no more renewals or sales to non season ticket holders after Friday pending clarification of the rules for admitting fans to the ground.

So we will be playing Middlesborough at Home Park on Tuesday 25th of August in a behind closed doors friendly....kick-off !pm.

This will be followed on the Saturday 29th August by the F G Rovers game also at 1pm.

The Middlesborough game will not be live streamed at their request.

Next week Argyle will go to Scotland for pre-season training.....I thought there was also talk of maybe arranging a couple of games against local teams if possible.

The F A have announced that there will be no replays in this years F A Cup 2020/21.

So assume... extra time... and then a penalty shoot-out.

That makes it even harder for a small club to win away at a big club.

New fixture list comes out on Friday 21st August.....probably 9 am ?.

Hope there isn't any important games too early with lockdown scuttling fans from going to them.

For me that would mean missing away games at AFC Wimbledon, Gillingham & Charlton (if they're still in the league)....it will be difficult buying tickets from away clubs....seeing that they need to put their own regulars first.

Incoming player....Lewis Macleod left Wigan this summer....26 year old midfielder....record suggests that he is injury prone....which is worrying seeing that we are showing interest still in Lewis Page who has spent ages on the recovery couch in the last few years.

Plym, we have just signed a player. It's the same every time. Oh he's injury prone, Oh their fans don't rate him. Oh I'm underwhelmed. I read this on pasoti all the time. Give the bloke a chance FFS.

I'm amazed at the doom merchants on pasoti missing the main point to be pessimistic about this man. It's there in black and white in the Herald. He was an international U21................for SCOTLAND.

Bookmakers tips for promotion to the Championship from Division One...2020/21 season.

    1.....Sunderland...........9/4.
    2.....Peterborough......11/4.
    3.....Charlton..............11/4.
    4.....Portsmouth..........3/1.
    5.....Oxford................10/3.
    6.....Hull.......................7/2.
    7.....Ipswich.................7/2.
    8.....Bristol R...............9/2.
    9.....Fleetwood............9/2.
    10...Blackpool............11/2.
    11...Wigan.................11/2.
    12...Lincoln................13/2.
    13...Gillingham............7/1.
    14...Burton...................8/1.
    15...Doncaster.............8/1.
    16...Swindon...............8/1.
    17...Crewe.................10/1.
    18...MK Dons.............10/1.
    19...Accrington...........14/1.
    20...Plymouth.............16/1.
    21...Shrewsbury..........16/1.
    22...Northampton........33/1.
    23...AFC Wimbledon...40/1.
    24...Rochdale..............50/1.

I hope we'll be more mid table than this.
One year Sunderland will actually prove the bookmakers right....but maybe not this year.
Charlton are in disarray off the pitch and to be third favourite is being probably too optimistic.
I'll go for Portsmouth, Oxford and Swindon for promotion.
Relegation for Wimbledon, Shrewsbury, Rochdale and Accrington.

No one really knows what will happen....especially without full stadiums.

I'm with you Sensible. We haven't signed a dud in recent times and Lowe seems to create a team that's greater than the sum of its parts, He has a team structure in mind and doesn't just go and sign players that have happened to put half a dozen good games together.

We are running a tight ship financially and so we have to look for value that others overlook.
