It seems strange that the only racist they could find in Bristol was that of a statue from 150 years back and then suddenly four turn up in a car and randomly attack a bloke coming home from work.

What puzzles me is - the basis of our maths is a number system invented in India, and then taken up by the Arabs who for a long time were the pre-eminent mathematicians in the world, inventing algebra, decimals, trigonometry and more. Its not the preserve only of white people, even if in modern times most mathematicians until recently were white.

A very strange one. And of course nonsense like this then gets used to undermine legitimate concerns about racism.

Back to DB issue, I wonder if she even realises she does a lot of harm (*) to the case that we have to be alive to the risk of racist prejudice in our institutions. Sounds a bit like she thought it would work well on SM. Mind you, there's plenty of others (like Trump) who do equivalent things.
