& My dig was not at Pompey at all having worked with Pompey season ticket holders between 2014-2019 & also a good mate is a Pompey supporter as well, I found they looked at the predicament they were in at one time completely different, to say the Southampton season ticket holders when they were league 1 with us. Especially a lot of the teams north of Winchester who all think they should be in the Premiership hav'nt they realised there are only 20 teams in there & at least half of them are hanging on hoping that teams coming up are worse than them.
Sunderland fans thought they would piss the league last season and lots of em were saying wycombe were the worst team they had played ,well that came back to bite them on the arse big time,Billy big bollox teams think they have a divine right to be in the premiership but what they dont realise is you need to have a good teamwork ethic to achieve anything, star players are not the be all and end all ,if you have players willing to play for each other as we have you dont need superstars. As greeny has always said just because you're a big club doesn't mean you will piss the league. COYB
Looks like somebody is in for a shock when they play us next season, the new Bristol City manager wants to play attacking & exciting that's what the fans want, until you are mid table & going nowhere. I wonder if they can play that for 100mins against us.
Phil, just look at the championship league and that should send a shock to anyone. This will be your first ever visit to this league. Most fans will be chalking up a 3 point gain from playing you because that's the way the mind works with a lot of these teams or sets of supporters. Some of them are going to get a massive wake up call just like some got last season. It is the way of the world.
