Good Morning. It's Tuesday 11th August, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road. Record breaking commercial deal finalised LEEDS have announced that SBOTOP will be replacing 32Red next season as the Whites sign their largest commercial deal in the club’s history. As part of the multi year partnership, their logo will feature on the front of the club's shirt. Leeds were waiting to tie up the loose ends of the SBOTOP deal before unveiling the new Adidas kits. I would imagine, they will be unveiled shortly. The SBOTOP site is currently not live in the UK but promises the “latest casino games” and live dealer products, while a .com site is live in jurisdictions other than Great Britain, offering betting and casino products. LUFC Executive Director Paul Bell said: “Today’s announcement with SBOTOP represents a landmark day for Leeds United’s commercial strategy as we attract new global brands to our official partners programme” “We have been in discussions with Bill Mummery and his team at SBOTOP/Celton Manx for some time, looking at various ways to work together and I’ve been very impressed by their experience and the proactive way in which they have looked to engage with the club. “Now that we have returned to the Premier League, we are in a position to work with SBOTOP on a truly global platform as we both look to achieve our goals.” Bill Mummary, executive director at Celton Manx/SBOTOP added: “We are thrilled to enter into a relationship with Leeds United, a club with rich heritage and an enormous fan base. “We have experience of working in the Premier League and this strategic partnership allows us to work closely with the club as they enter into this next phase of their history, back in the top flight. “These are exciting times for all concerned and we can’t wait to get started.” please log in to view this image Leeds knocked back twice in pursuit of White Sky Sports have announced that Leeds have had offers of 18.5m and 22m rejected by Brighton and Hove Albion for central defender Ben White. The 22yo has returned to the Seaside Tide following his holiday antics with Kalvin Philips and Tyler Roberts in Spain recently. White signed a one year extension at the Amex Stadium before he departed to West Yorkshire last season. Although he is tied to the Seagulls until 2023, Brighton are keen to extend his contract further, but the 22yo has since turned down two offers of a contract extension. Leeds must know something! They wouldn't flog a head horse, especially when the transfer window is so short! White must want the move!!! Thousands of Leeds fans have taken to social media to 'free' Ben White! please log in to view this image In other news The Reading Chronicle have reported that Danny Loader has rejected a move to Elland Road. The 19yo forward is a free agent after leaving Reading at the back end of last season. Instead, Loader prefers a move to Portugal! The Daily Mail are reporting that Leeds are monitoring Slavia Prague's attacking midfielder Nicolae Stanciu. The Romania international is valued at 7m. The 27yo netted four times in 31 appearances. Leeds are in discussions with Chelsea to bring highly rated youngster Conor Gallacher to Elland Road. The 20yo midfielder enjoyed a successful season on loan with Swansea, helping them to reach the Championship play offs. No sooner has the ink dried on the Joe Gelhardt deal, with the 18yo signing a four year contract at Elland Road, than another youngster is about to announce his arrival. Highly rated right back Cody Drameh. is expected at Elland Road within the next 48 hours. The 18yo right back should be available at a cut down price of £450,000 due to the length of his contract. Gelhardt and Drameh both know each other from the England set up! As expected, Manchester City winger Jack Harrison has penned another season long loan at Elland Road. Harrison has spent the last two seasons on loan at Elland Road making 91 appearances and scoring 10 goals in all competitions. please log in to view this image
Morning all. Good to see some progress at last! Also liking the new training tops. What does everyone else think of them? Still waiting though for Bielsa's contact extension confirmation, which I hope happens today. Everything crossed.
Morning all... I keep hearing how the PL want to rid themselves of betting sponsors, I guess they’d have to give plenty of notice to everyone. I have to say I prefer 32 Red over this new one but money is money. I agree DJMarl I like the training tops. Need some new first team signings sharpish now with preseason just round the corner. Harrison we already had so the pen to paper photo shoot is a bit underwhelming, we didn’t do that with Costa and Meslier did we? Without Ben White we are still weaker than last season so I’m starting to get slightly concerned as to who we might be getting
Only time I’ve seen Gallagher play was against us for Swansea... Looked a player in that game - and with that very limited knowledge would happily have him. still wondering where the goals are going to come from though!
Morning everyone Still waiting for an actual signing to get excited about that will make an immediate impact on the first team, not yet more promising youngsters & where is Bielsa's signature ? rumoured yesterday and now possibly today,of all the incredible improvements theirs been recently, some things never change with Leeds, always last to get business done
Morning all. Its great news signing young players with promise. Marcelo will do the rest. Only one team scored more than Leeds last season goals will come.
Agree Milky re the goals, most teams now rely on a front 3 for goals, all 3 of ours goals per chance ratio is appalling really.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey Very pleased with yesterdays signing of Geldart one for the future no I think now if they are good enough they are old enough Now for the interesting ones Striker Bats for me CB Foyth Mid field EZE LB the young lad from Liverpool Goalkeeper I like the look of the young Irish lad at BournemouthI remember he was outstanding last season
If we bought Conor Gallagher I would be extremely happy. Perfect for Bielsaball. I'm delighted we are linked with him. He can play as a 10 (Hernandez), box to box (Klich) or hold (Phillips). Full of energy, good distribution, quick and likes to have a go at goal. Would be a great signing.
They did duke but we created way more chances than any other team... we won’t dominate possession and chances like that in the Prem and, as gessa says, the conversion rate of all our front 3 was very poor. Maybe with sides attacking us more frequently we might get clearer chances on the break, but more efficient finishing will be crucial.
Had some bad news My son Stephen who some of you met at the Peacock with me has had an heart attack at Work Luckily for him someone came to see him and resusiated him as his heart had stopped strangely I had an heart attack on the hottest day in 2007 so it runs in the family Back out of ICU and on the mend and I kjnow you will wish all the best Mike
Good morning. I'm not a fan of betting companies being sponsors but they pay the most and at least we don't have the same sponsor as half the teams in the championship anymore. The Ben White deal has gone from looking unlikely to more and more likely every day. The new training tops look incredible. Just a word of advice, if you're on twitter make sure you follow at @sbotop_uk and not @sbotop.
We could and should have had many more, we won't get the same amount of chances next season, so they will have to up their ratio.
I think what he is saying is that we only have one out let for goals. Did you know that our second top scorer for the season was own goals!!!
