its hard to measure against expected deaths if the method of counting was wrong. It’s reported in the telegraph too!!

Ah not so fast with that one there. How many extra have died during the covid virus of other things cancer, heart problems and the likes because the NHS was virtually closed to all but virus cases?

youre missing the point, totally. That article was from weeks ago & they are now saying the way deaths was recorded was incorrect so we don’t know how we have done against the seasonal average. Not until they do a recount hence why they have stopped issuing death numbers as it’s now an acknowledged flaw

I'm not missing the point entirely, I'm quoting another source, ONS not public Health England, I doubt there will ever be a truly accurate figure, the ones reported in England compared to Scotland are worth challenging, though no calculation will be truly accurate. Only when we look back will we get a better 'count'. To save another post how many people have died because of the lockdown again will be known / shown after, and undoubtedly there will be some / many. I remember early on been told by a senior nurse that the figures were probably going to be between 40-60k deaths and being shocked by this

Looks like there's still an issue with people panic buying accordions...

Just watched a couple of repeated episodes of "Blackadder Goes Forth" on BBC 4.
I never noticed the attached "credit" at the end of the shows before. Does anyone know if any of the writers etc had any connection to Hull or is Hull often lambasted in this way ?

You are looking at the credits. Chris Hull was the Production Designer on the show.

The crew credits are all given to look like a rank number and name.

    Nowt to do with Hull.

Well I never, who would have thought that ? :emoticon-0105-wink:

So producer Lloyd, J. is not the brother of Lloyd, D. former pro tennis player (both were) and ex-chairman of Hull City A.F.C. and Hull F.C. ?
