I think the idea of building the squad for 2 or 3 years down the line is foolish for this season. By all means get young talented players but they need to be ready for September not signed to be loaned out again then hoping they come good. We need to survive this season to start to build for the future not build for 2 years time when the U23 players are good enough

I’ve got family in Peterborough and I’ve seen them a fair few times over the years, including when Da Silva Lopes was there.

I cannot imagine there is any interest from our end unless he’s somehow morphed into Gerrard reincarnate overnight. Was very very average even in League One. Tidy on the ball but completely forgettable in midfield. No strength, not really very quick, no goal threat, tendency to wander from position. He was very young at the time but Peterborough fans could not believe Wigan paid a million for him. Can’t argue with MacAnthony’s ability to consistently get teams to pay over the odds for his players. Wish we’d done more of that over the years!

Much as I like Ben White, how can he be worth 30 million after one season in the championship when players that have played in it, Foyth being quoted at 10-12 million and John Stones at 20? Can’t let sentiment get in the way of sound business.

My thoughts/fears.... Could he turn out to be another Augustin? How much does Bielsa know about him? He’d have to get used to a new country, he’s never played in the English game, he’d have to get Bielsa fit, would that alone demoralise him? This is surely a striker who would not even get a consideration for 8-12 weeks.

Compare this to the Batshuayi rumours... Already settled in the UK, has PL experience, already worked under Bielsa so both player and coach know what to expect.

This guy just wont go away and now plenty of stories saying we want to loan him and buy him next year, but Benfica asking way too much but we shall see who is left in the running as Man Utd were confident but not now, AC Milan still want him. The kid is awesome and exactly like Kante but with flair. He just stops everything...... 5 news reports on him and Leeds today?

Arthur looks a big lad and would not be fazed but Bats is a different animal magic feet Doc and Rik thankyou for the clips Bats I think could be bought for about 15mn as he has only 1year left on his contract and I am surehe would also take a big wage cut so that he could get his career back on track Wait and see we are playing the waiting game very well

We had the best defensive record last year but I'm not sure how that will transfer to this league. Might be worth getting a cheap defender? Our main guys are Cooper, Ayling and Dallas. Ayling was quality last year with a few assists and a few goals.

As for midfield players Phillips is very defensive. Often dropping in to a defender as a back 3.Klich plays every game, gets the odd goal, was our pen taker at the end of season and gets a few assists too. Hernandez is our best midfield player. More goals and assists than anyone in our team but is now 35 and was used off the bench post lockdown. He still topped all the charts though even at 30-45 minutes a game.

Bamford is useless. Harrison and Costa will probably get a 5-10 assists and 5-10 goals a season. Harrison has the biggest scope for improvement. If he took a good amount of chances he would have got 15 last season. He missed more than he scores.

To be honest, our players aren't the best but as Bielsa team we are very good. The way we play doesn't really lend itself to any one player getting all the plaudits.

Dallas and Ayling as full backs will get up and down all day and play almost as extra wingers in the system we play. Might be worth a shot at one of those.

If we get a striker to replace Bamford then he will get alot of chances to score. A playmaker might come in but have to share with Hernandez. We are looking for a new left back too.

    Hope that helps.
