I'm glad I encouraged to watch the live stream.

I gave up trying to watch it on TV. As someone said on Twitter, it looks like a motorised PowerPoint. I'm now watching on my PC. 720p looks great on a 4k monitor. If I squish my eyes up, I can almost read some of the shirt numbers. The audio stream is running slightly ahead of the video so the ref blows for fouls before they happen. VAR in reverse.

It is free I know but if we have to rely on video streaming because we aren't allowed in the ground, it needs to be a damn sight better than this.

As to the match, McCormick let a soft one in at his near post from a free kick on the right. Argyle then started to dominate and youngster Charlie Miller scored a beauty from 20 yards to equalise.

Starting line up, (in no particular) order) was:

    McCormick
    Sawyer
    Aims on
    Joe Edwards
    Telford
    Trialist
    Conor Grant
    Miller
    Lolos
    Randall
    Tom Tomlinson

    Second half team is

    Cooper
    Wootton
    Canavan
    Pursall
    Moore
    Lolos
    Craske
    Mayor
    Law
    Jephcott
    Wilson

I know Jephcott scored with his first touch to make it 2-1 but the video stream has mow collapsed completely.

All I can get is first half repeating....someone said that it seems that it has been taken off YouTube for second half....a lot on pasoti complaining that it's rubbish quality...and comments that our owner is having difficulties watching it as well.....it might be free....but it doesn't mean you have to accept rubbish....is there commentary ? all I can hear is two voices mumbling in the background....I'll give it one more go and see if I can watch the last 20 minutes.

The club have said that the streaming has finished and it's not the end of the match....after all these months of no football.....just the chance of watching a low key friendly was worth watching....but it was so amateurishly done.....the only way to see Argyle at the moment completely cocked up.....I hope that when the league season starts those that are foolish enough to pay for a service get far better quality than this load of twaddle.

2-1 F/T Argyle win....I'm amazed that some people had commentary.....I had my sound volume on maximum and all I heard were two muffled voices in the background.....no idea of the score unless you saw a goal scored....what a shoddy way to treat the fans.

One viewer couldn't understand what people were complaining about.....when asked what way Argyle were playing....he said towards the Devonport.....he was then told that he was watching a repeat of the first half not the second half as he thought......you couldn't make it up could you.

I have sympathy: over the years I've been responsible for ICT departments and it's a poison chalice, especially when things go wrong. But this was an opportunity to advertise match streaming when it could provide valuable income for the club while we're still restricted it was an opportunity bafly missed.

The worst part is not that it failed but that even if it had worked, it was only in 720p resolution. . That's just about adequate for a mobile phone, although my current phone has a 4k screen (4000 lines across versus a 720 wide signal). 720 is no good at all if you want to watch on your TV or a high quality computer screen.

In this era of no financial reward through the turnstiles....the opportunity of hooking in fans to live streaming was a must event....how much will it cost the club that they didn't sort live streaming out before this match.....with fans match starved for 5 months and one day....this was a win, win situation....in the end it became a lose, lose disaster.....no team selection shown on screen....a must when Argyle used 21 players during the match....no score shown ever and for some of us no commentary either....plus for most only the first half shown and then repeated......what else could have gone wrong.....we could of got an Exeter game taking priority like on Radio Devon at times.
