Not looking forward to watching Hants bat on this. I'm just imagining how Fidel and Abbott would've fared here.
Oh Daws, Hants are literally throwing this away. And he redeems himself and catches Simpson for an extra 2 runs.
England 5 wickets down. Scoring slowly with lots of time is fine and could make game competitive, but not when regularly losing wickets. Shame.
Made up for it again, but that's not really the point. In both of these games, our catching has been awful. And that is inexcusable. It arguably lost us the first game, given the extra runs which Sussex (particularly Salt) duly scored.
Jos has to play his natural game here. If he gets out so be it. Him making a century off about 80 balls is our only chance.
Tomorrow is very much a batting day with temperatures of 34 expected so hopefully the the thought of being in the field in that heat will motivate the batsmen to actually bat properly.
Woakes and Buttler have to play how they feel comfortable. May be lots of time, but we’re running out of wickets. Pakistan are taking them at regular intervals, otherwise we may have continued to plug away with another day to go. May see another change of plan if we get close to the target with Woakes and Buttler still in....fingers crossed.
Exactly, the chances are there will be a few unplayable balls from Pakistan and attacking them might throw them off of their lines and lengths and make batting a bit easier. A couple of big overs after tea and the psychological target is under 100 there will be a few worried Pakistan players.
