I think he'd be a great fit but I'm not saying we should or will try and get Sancho, I think it's too much (for us). Very similar to when Pulisic / Werner was available imo; would have been a great fit but the timing / deal wasn't right for whatever reason.
I know I said the other day I've only seen Sancho play for England so it's not reasonable to base judgement of him on that but for some reason, call it instinct, I don't see him doing well in the PL.
Don’t understand those questioning Sancho his numbers stack up with the best in the world in terms of goal involvements and he’s only 20!!! Guy has done it for 2 seasons in a row now as well. 100m may seem a lot but could be top top player for 7/8 years and investment would be well worth it.
Exactly. Him and Trent could form a formidable partnership on that right hand side for Liverpool and England for ther next decade
I can't question anything about him because I don't have enough knowledge to base it on. Other than a feeling that I don't think he would do well in the PL which obviously is based on nothing other than instinct, I have nothing. I had a similar feeling when Delph signed for Everton and was told I was wrong and that he was like Xabi Alonso.
Citeh spend £40m on a relegated defender yesterday.... Today their 'highly rated' 19 yrl old defender Eric Garcia pretty much says he wants out https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53682729 wants Barca imo
Spurs are set to sign Hojbejerg. Fee is a mystery, Higher than the £15m Spurs wanted to paid, but lower than the £25m Soton wanted https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53664325
Norman 'bites yer legs' Hunter. When men were men and football was a game not a part of the entertainment industry.
I rarely think a player coming from abroad will do well in the PL, everywhere else bar La Liga is a inferior league.
Would have been an ideal replacement for Suarez in 2014, tbf, but was determined to go to London iirc.
I'd like Sancho, but we just can't afford him unless we sell Mane or Salah. I don't want him that much.
I'm still envious, if I'm honest. Seems United, Chelsea and City ('natch) are off buying the world again this (late) summer. I think we could have bought at least one, if not two marquee players had we won the league in May and had there not been the virus, but hey-ho, compared to what has happened to lower league teams like here in York we don't have a lot to moan about. We'll just have to be People's Champions again as opposed to Chequebook Champions City, Uniturd and Chelski.
I'm not envious at all, tbh. Far from it - I'm really happy we've achieved the success we have in the way that we have. Klopp has only made "marquee" signings where it's been absolutely necessary to complete the team. I'd rather he continues to build and strengthen in the same way, maintaining the balance, rather than bring in big names and risk upsetting it. The recent discussion here was about how frequently big names fail to live up to the expectations made of them. At the moment, we have a winning formula - no need to change it until it ceases to be so.
