Got the wrong chippy. Shires was the one between Goddard Ave and Marshall Street, opposite Tofts (Teals).
The problem with a survey like this is if you get into the top 2 or 3 there are only two outcomes - you're either promoted or relegated depending on your previous.
Holy Cow !!! I never realized that I'm 89 already. Thought I was 81. Thanks Mrs BMB. I'd better go and get some rest !!!!
Febbos missed out the fact that I sent you an 80th Birthday greeting in Jan 2019 so you are indeed in your 82nd year. Sorry I missed posting your birthday on the forum last January - first time since 2012!
As long as you make sure it's the anniversary of the day you were born, it's a proven fact that birthdays are good for your health. The more you have, the longer you live.
I can't really remember, I was very young at the time. The people that told me my birth day, also told me there was a Santa Claus and tooth fairies, so I don't see them as credible witnesses.
Expected nothing other than a Ghurkinesque response but will still disclose my birthday which happens to be today. Was born 3 years before the Atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima 75 years ago.Always wanted to visit this city and went for one of my birthdays many years ago. Loved the day and attended the memorial ceremony near the Atomic Bomb Dome. That night a candlelit flotilla with thousands of candles came down the river past the dome. At the ceremony was the guy who left the city after the bomb was dropped and headed to Nagasaki to be there when the second bomb hit. Called Yamaguchi he died in 2010 aged 93. Finally a belated birthday greeting to Quatartiger Cambridgetiger who was 61 yesterday.
Congratulations on your 78th birthday Mrs BMB and many happy returns. And thank you for remembering my birthday every year (except one). Us "Old Geezers" need all the appreciation we can get !!!
