To be fair they will be a laughing stock but only with us City fans. Chances are other fans don't really care all that much.

Honestly this appointment is taking so ****ing long when it’s finally announced I won’t even be bothered about who it is they appoint, my reaction will just be “meh”
For the size of our City, we've always underwhelmed regarding our football and appointments.....it's what we do I'm afraid...Won't stop us supporting them!! But who ever comes in needs to be backed by us fans from the off and should not have to put up with, what LJ went through......I'm sure it didn't help..
Message below let's hope it happens Still in it mate. Heard today that the club deciding between Hughton and Holden... We'll see what happens.
Hmmmm I wonder which option they'll pick ! Seriously, if I was Hughton and was told that the decision was between me and a coach from a previously failed management set up, with little Management experience, I'd tell little old Bristol City to do one.
Yet another day, still stalling, could we, should we, would we, if we are going for the cheap option why not just tell us, if it's going for glory and the promised land blast us with the info, it's the gory or the glory, just do it, stop buggering about.
See how the odds currently lie below: Dean Holden 4/9 Chris Hughton 3/1 Paul Cook 8/1 Alex Neil 9/1 Ryan Lowe 16/1 Danny Cowley 25/1 Hughton still hanging in there.
My worry is that the new manager won’t have time to build his own team (if indeed he is allowed to anyway). When does the transfer window shut? That’s the real deadline for our board.
Ok so it’s October. We could be 6 games into the season by then and losing (just as winning) is a habit. Let’s hope whoever it is hits the ground running. The longer this goes on, the more likely it is to be Holden, as he already knows and has a working relationship with the players.
It is possible you will be correct, Holden will carry on from LJ, we all know it's the cheap option, Ashton will be in control of transfers in and out, Holden will do as he is told and stick to coaching and player development, that is Ashtons power grab unless the scales fall from Steve Lansdowns eyes.
Championship squad values.. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...ol-city-wycombe-wanderers-more-2935771?page=2 Quite an eye opener.
