David Villa will go down in history as probably the best ever Spanish striker and has played at the highest level for some of the top clubs in World football. He knows a thing or two about strikers especially from out wide and his time in New York he found a player that he called the “The Real Golden Boy”. Man City had sent Jack Harrison out to their New York club to learn a thing or two from Villa. And they struck up a relationship that still today keeps them in close contact. Villa told Pep when he took over at City that Harrison was going to be slower to develop but would one day become one of the best. Pep loaned Harrison to Bielsa and ever since Bielsa picks Harrison as one of the first on his team sheet. We will now have him for a third season and still Bielsa persists because he too can see something. Not everyone loved the kid but he looks to be a baller in the making
He has all the ability in the world. The lad needs to improve his finishing and realise he doesn't need to beat his man twice. Great potential. The reason I get frustrated with the kid is that he can be such a good player by making simple changes to his game.
I think Harrison is a good player steadily improving. Much better than having a short term flash in the pan like we did with Gradel or Saiz, I clicked on the thread expecting it to be another wild transfer rumour and now I'm slightly disappointed.
i remember laughing when City paid £70m for a flash show pony called Sterling from Liverpool. in a year he changes his game slightly and scoring goals for fun. The number of times Harrison races into the box and has no end product is frustrating. He has had enough chances to score 20 this season, but hits the woodwork or the corner flag
Exactly @blonogasoven and @Doc . Sometimes it's as easy as Dallas flying on the overlap, it's an easy pass but instead Jack cuts inside in to 2 defenders. We lose the ball and I have a heart attack because we are light at the back. I remember at junior football the phrase "let the ball do the work!". Should be getting 15 goals a season minimum given his ability. Just getting his head over the ball when shooting would be a start. Keep the f**king thing down.
