The replica is better. It has embroidered badges. The "pro" has stuck on badges because players prefer less chafing.

This reminds me of a pair of Shaquille O'Neal boots that we bought one of our boys called Shaqnosis. Google it.

First glance I didn't like it still not sure but it seems to be growing on me...

I used to play in a similar style kit on sundays but it was black and teal

Just been reading up on it. Apparently the design is inspired by the white tiger a guardian animal in Korean mythology. There was me thinking it was zebra and wondering what the link with S Korea was.

Believe it or not I actually went back to edit my comment to add in 'that we bought one of our boys'. I didn't want anybody thinking that I owned and wore the boots myself.

I agree about the badge and logo, the heat transfer ones will wash off the 'pro' top in no time or just wear off, like they always do. I think the fit and finish of the 'pro' one is a lot better though

Keep hoping, they'll be designed for the American and Asian markets!

I don't mind the kits - they're pretty generic but they look ok.

The biggest thing is to sell the bloody things and to increase profile in all major markets.

Just wish we'd had this management after Istanbul - they know what they're doing. That said, we'd have made 10's of millions more had there not been this pandemic, but the tide is lower for everyone, I suppose.

From what I've read, Nike will look into the club and it's history when designing the kit. They did this with the Nigeria national kit and the S Korean one above. They continue to create and add to a fashion line for PSG including a partnership with Michael Jordan. Liverpool fc isn't like that. We neither are nor want to be fashion icons. The club reflects the fans, down to earth, no nonsense, tell it like it is. So plain red suits us. They can have fun with the change strips but I'm more than happy to have a plain, as red as possible, home kit.

Missed a trick not putting asterisks in in the background design, imo.

That's good, but I'm curious why, out of all of our history as a club, they decided to pay homage to the period that was the start of the decline and the least success we've had in modern times. I suppose Nike must've partly thought they needed to differentiate their kit from the all red, or red with white and gold that Warrior/NB have been doing for years, so the green added a point of difference to make it stand out as Nike. I don't see how they couldn't have found another way around that problem, if that was a problem, that allowed for a kit that didn't have anything but red with a bit of white, grey and/or gold

Like with the S Korean kit they looked into the history of S Korea not S Korean football and came up with a white tiger pattern. The white tiger having significant cultural meaning.

The explanation for the teal given by Nike is similarly cultural, if you like, in that it is the colour that 'represents Liverpool', the colour of the Liver birds.
