I don't really do a lot of betting (bar a pint on a game stuff), so can't really comment. Hi did show me a slip on his phone.

Music quiz last night. We came second by half a point <grr> We ****ed up on the TV theme music round. We had the right answers for two of them and crossed them out, substituting wrong answers <grr> I made a little speech over the mike at the end. "A no-mark team knocked Liverpool off their perch 30 years ago. We're now back on it. You can be assured that it won't be 30 years until we're back on our perch" <laugh>

Off to that Laaaarndan on Thursday for a few nights with my mate. It'll make a refreshing change. Got the return for £50 utilising my senior railcard, which lapsed in May <laugh> Apparently tickets are not being checked on trains due to the plague. If they do, I'll have the feign an age-related lapse <ok>

In other news, I looked after my mate's Brussels griffon last Thursday. We were wandering up to Lidl and the dog stopped in front of me and I dodged so as not to ick him. In doing so, I tripped over my own foot and fell landing right on one of my replaced knees. Cut my knee and elbow, but thankfully no serious damage done. I nearly **** myself <yikes>

Yesterday, my eldest spotted that my driving license should have been renewed at the beginning of June. Not sure what ther implications of not renewing the card are?

That made me check mine & i'm good till 2022 . Since mine was for 10 years i would expect them to contact me so my guess is they screwed up or your dog ate the letter <whistle>
Think the DVLA had big delays due to covid but that should be clearing now .

as i expected they should contact you but if you have a valid UK passport just apply online

I should have added that, as I was getting up off the pavement, an old bloke had crossed the road just to make sure I was OK. He must have been in his 80s <laugh> <yikes>

I'd already looked mate but not got a passport. I did it online ten years ago too, they've obviously changed it.

Not had any contact from DVLA

Well London was ****ing hot. Nearly 37 degrees on the hottest day. Considerable range in ale prices too, as always, The Chandos, a Sam Smiths pub on Trafalgar Square. House lager was £3 a pint <ok>. Royal George by Euston Station. Peroni £6.50 a pint <yikes> Estrella cheaper at £5.65. Noticeably much quieter than previously. Even Leicester Square and Soho. Good to see my mates though.
