Neat and tidy doesn't cut it for me, I'd prefer that a few of them have face lifts too - lifted right out of the club.
Some interesting looking possibilities for next season's shirts. Although I like the black one, I'd be far happier with a return to 68/69 shirt... https://www.footyheadlines.com/2020/05/kelme-watford-20-21-home-away-third.html
"the promising youngsters set for Watford first team breakthrough" This is actually the first time I've seen Ryan Cassidy's name mentioned in this context. https://www.hertfordshiremercury.co...ot-quina-cassidy-promising-youngsters-4383308
Yes - he is a good prospect but we don't seem to use youth players anymore. Maybe that is going to change ?
The press certainly seem to think so. I do hope that we keep a few older heads though - nothing like experienced players to keep the young ones on track.
Luca Gotti on Pozzo meeting. As highlighted, was on Udinese future: "We never talked about Watford, we talked about possibility of continuing together with Udinese. From tomorrow we'll start discussing how to think about going forward together"
Anyone know if this is true - West Ham can claim compensation from Watford for signing Jeremy Ngakia? That's if he actually signs... https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-will-be-due-watford-compensation/
Gotti staying at Udinese is true. West Ham comp will be true if the player is of a certain age and came through their academy. Similar to how we got comp for Sancho, also same as Sinclair (what a waste of 4m!)
Well let's hope he is worth it then! In the past we've tended to come out worse and had to pay more than we wanted.
Suarez not going back to Real Zaragoza - but who knows where is future lies. It could be here or it could be with the highest bidder. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...a-loan-ends-watford-reject-extension-request/
I have read that players from Fuenlabrada caught Covid-19 so their game in the Segunda Division against Deportivo de La Corona was postponed. Deportivo protested and refused to play the postponed game as they have already been relegated. Fuenlabrada can qualify for the play-offs if they win this game so the play-offs also had to be postponed. Watford had already agreed to a loan extension from 30 June until 5 August. Zaragoza are now asking for at least two extra weeks (maybe longer), which - with the quarantine restrictions - would mean Suarez would not come for pre-season until this time next month. No wonder that Watford refused the request! The Zaragoza owner wants the the play-offs to be cancelled and has suggested three alternative options to La Liga, all of which would result in Zaragoza (who finished in third place) being promoted.
Premier League clubs have voted against continuing to allow five substitutions in a match for the 2020-21 season. Guess that applies across the board.
