I must admit, I got the idea from another forum the MOT one, they do an individual player profile to discuss, I’ll slightly change it, let’s discuss an area on the pitch with a group of players at a time, starting at the back. Goalkeepers...

    Kiko - Meslier

I’d like to see us keep Meslier but relegate him to number two, sell Kiko and sign a new number 1. I think Meslier is better and Kiko too costly in wages to sit on the bench.... Thoughts?.....

Yeah spot on. I'd be looking to improve wherever we can, I would be happy with Meslier getting a shot but would prefer Kiko moved on and with the wages saved get a new number 1 in <ok>

Kiko has to go. Too many mistakes. I don't think I need to say more than that. He just has to leave.

Meslier. I like the lad. He has done very little wrong. He deserves his chance. The only criticism is that he looks a little light weight although that hasn't been a problem.

So, we need another goalkeeper. I like the guy from Arsenal, Martinez. He has played 2nd fiddle a long time which could be good as even if he comes to play under Bielsa he probably won't rock the boat too much if Meslier is selected in front of him. That's my first choice.

I also like Ramsdale from Bournemouth although he would come in as a #1 and would probably be alot more expensive.

I'm not so keen on Romero from scum. He makes a lot of mistakes and reminds me of Kiko.

To sum up, I'm happy to go with Meslier but I would be far happier if we had an experienced back up. Even somebody coming to the end like Fraser Forster would do me as a bit of competition.

I think Meslier has done well since he got his chance. Don't we have a few promising youngsters? Is Miazek ready yet?
I'd prefer to see a promising youngster on the bench than some old pro looking for a last payday.

Sell Kiko? How is that an option. Madrid wanted rid (sheer poetry) and we got lumbered with his high wages. All clubs will know about his wages and Leeds will probably have to pay part of that to another club. He will not leave and take a lesser wage so will not save money if he leaves. This will just put enough back in the kitty for Orta to sign another up and coming future star. Meslier has already signed up so he is now number one.

Kiko is an unhappy marriage for both sides. But how do you get rid of someone at that age and those wages with a catalogue of errors as a recent form guide?

You don’t unless you pay him off.

    it’s why he’s still here

See I say put Meslier as number two, I also thought Kasper was not that great and was amused that Leicester thought they’d made a great signing. It’s proved they were right and he was a bargain for them.

Those who get the chance to watch our young keepers, what are they like?
We've released some promising youngsters so hopefully the one's we've kept are deemed to be Prem ready.

Kiko should be sold for me as he worries me flapping and not coming and catching. But the politics around him looks bad irrespective of if you believe him or not.

Meslier is going to be fantastic and we bought him for the future, so I hope we can bring in a top end keeper to help Meslier progress.

Miazek is a very good keeper and a great stopper and 18 minth ago I thought he was going to be our new No2, but we then brought in Meslier. Miazek contract was up in June but extended to August and Im not sure if hes going to be released or sold or retained, but I think he may be sold.

Ellia Caprille looks the Dogz and suspect that when Bielsa brought him in last Summer it was to replace Miazek

Cooper Skerry a big brash Ausie kid who thinks nothing of bossing more experienced and older U23s. He was brought in for the U18s but played with the 23s too.

One thing that Miazek, Meslier, Caprille and Skerry have in common is they are all sold stoppers, all ball players and all great on penalties. I have seen Meslier save 4 pens so far. Miazek 3, Caprille 1and Skerry 1 with Miazek having a full couple if seasons and the others with 1 season and Skerry and Caprille not playing U23 much yet. The future looks bright between the sticks

Morning all. If you replace your goalkeeper you will replace him with another that makes mistakes. Meslier is very good at dealing with crosses and high balls and he does not lack confidence. I think he will develop into a top class goalkeeper.

Would you keep him as our number one in the premier league?

Meslier is a must keep, don't know how good a shot stopper yet, as he's never had that many to stop, but can see him becoming world class standard, but get rid of Kiko and replace with an older experienced guy just in case Meslier struggles with the shots, short term.

Interesting looking back, a lot of fans felt Meslier should be #2 if we were promoted

Thanks @ristac. My scouting looks top notch for once on this thread. Plucking a world cup winning keeper from Arsenal reserves and a young keeper who is now sitting 2nd in the league at Arsenal.

Get me in instead of Orta.
