    Words fail me.
The problem is, that the people who vote for the Tories, are unlikely to read any of this, because their paper of choice won’t carry the stories or, if they do, will slant the stories in a positive manner, such as they might stress the amount of money spent on PPE, but fail to mention that so much of it hasn’t been delivered.
And even if the Tory voters know about this, they seem to have the same default setting that the Tory MPs have. Ignore it, never acknowledge the wrongs being done and say that Labour would have done a worse job.

Is that Dominic Scummings tweet about leaving the EU “could be an error” true?

The Cummings tweet was in 2017, when he said something like “ in one possible branch of the future leaving the EU could be an error.”

    I think we’re there, Dom.

Well, I am sure that he will be suitably rewarded, financially, for pushing through what looks like being the worst kind of Brexit.

This is a very hard hitting cartoon, that seems to fit in with what is being said by a few of the racist brigade, who are looking to blame the BAME group for spreading the coronavirus.

There are more people (unelected) in the House of Lords than there are in the (elected) European Parliament. But you won't find a Brexiteer going on about that. With the Crime Minister putting family, russians and friends in there now we've become a complete autocracy. I don't understand why the voters aren't all out in the streets. Vive la revolution - Spaffer, Cummings and all that lot of crooks should have their day in court ........................ :emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry:emoticon-0121-angry

Well well well who'd a thought it? He also branded the 2016 EU referendum as a "dumb idea".

Cummings is a complex personality. Undoubtedly highly intelligent but, like many others of his type, potentially off his rocker. He seems to combine socially Laissez Faire philosophy with some kind of weird Anglo Saxon mythology that borders on the Aryan theories of the Third Reich. Overall not a person that you would want to stake the future of a nation on. High risk sums it up.

I used to mock and smirk at countries that used to be referred to as Banana Republics. Now I wish we were one for some sanity, coherence, respectability in Government.

The BBC had to remove this video, depicting Rishi Sunak as Superman, from their website, as it was considered to be too much like a North Korean propaganda video.

Personally I'm quite happy to see this kind of bigging up. Because it's going to be far more damaging when it fails. The Superman comparison is quite apt really. It's going to be beyond the whit of a mere mortal to get out of this with the current system intact.

Once the time for payback arrives the only cohort that can possibly be tapped into for the money to set the economy straight is going to be those very same people who put Pfeffel into No10. Looking back this election really was a good one to lose. The Tories, rightly or wrongly are going to have to carry the can as the post Covid economy is tossed about like a turd in a pisspot......then there's Brexit.

He's extremely dangerous. And yes, complex; a 'patriot' with no respect for his own country's institutions or traditions. History is littered with the type, particularly European history, from Caesar Augustus to Mussolini.

Speculation as to who the Tory MP accused of rape is. Amongst the dozen or so names that fit the criteria is Chris Grayling. I would discount him. The accusation is rape, not attempted rape.

RIP John Hume who was oñe of the politicians in Northern Ireland who paved the way to the Good Friday agreement. Unlike many in the UK Conservative party who seem hell bent on non cooperation, non negotiation and non sensible policies, Hume was the opposite - constructive, cooperative and a negotiator.
