PLT is correct, there has often been a willing buyer, but faced with an unwilling seller, many of these are not common knowledge.
When thinking of new owners, it's worth keeping in mind that Adam Pearson said himself that he wouldn't have spent the money needed to get us into the Prem. The same is liable to apply to anyone that buys us and runs the club sustainably.
Willing buyer does not mean credible offer. Lots of chancers had a sniff when they thought the Allams may have sold at a bargain. They were always just chancers. It’s just not how people think it was. Yes, they wanted top dollar, but to pretend we had queues of people with the money is disingenuous. I am not defending the family as I want rid too. Just being more honest about the reality.
Didn't Adam Pearson come out a little while ago and cryptically indicate that to sell a club you needed the actual owners to want to sell ? Could have sworn id seen something about it
I can live with any of the above if all our fans are served better than they are at present by that pair of **** houses.
AP did say that. He said "We promise, we will get Hull City to the championship. We don't have the money to get you to the Premier league, we don't have the money required to do that" He said that to fans on the pitch back at BP. He delivered that exactly and in a short space of time. A chairman being honest and delivering on that promise. So he didn't say he wouldn't spend the money, he said he didn't have the money. A chairman making a promise and delivering on that promise. Imagine that!
I find it hard to believe that there isn't interest in the club and that the ones that are are all 'chancers'. It's clear to see the stumbling block is the huge price tag. Look at this map of clubs in the UK: http://billsportsmaps.com/wp-conten...all-133-clubs-drawing-over-1k-per-game_n_.gif Anyone must see you could draw a 60-70 mile radius around Hull to be the biggest club in the area and attract new fans. As far North as Middlesbrough, as far West as Leeds and as far south as, Lincoln? So much potential - it only takes a decade or two of sustained success to build up a bigger, stronger fan base, and with it, the income, which must be attractive to any would-be buyer? I know we're never gonna be as commercially successful as a Man Utd or Liverpool, but with the right attitude the club has the ability and potential to be a West Brom, Norwich, Sunderland, Derby. Clubs that maybe only have local supporter bases, but they are large local supporter bases.
He also said after he had left that, had he been in the same position, he wouldn't have spent the money to get us up like Duffen did, as he's not prone to taking that level of risk.
Didn’t he also say of course you can stick a mortgage on the smc you ****s!! My backer wants his money out and I want my cut of that so get it done??
I don’t think he’s a **** at all. He did brilliantly for us. But it doesn’t exempt him from criticism. And that really ****ed us up
