He also mentioned Benrahma and Eze as midfielder options. Not sure if I’m making this up but also mentioned Bryan as a potential for LB as the price Liverpool want for their youngster is too much.
Chris Gelhardt close to signing according to people on FB £750,000-£1million Young lad from Wigan, squad player.
strange way to do a deal but it seems Leeds are paying all the cash this afternoon so they can pay wages. Personal terms with the player will be done next week, which basically means deal done and the kid will agree to whatever terms we offer him, we must have given him an idea though and he agreed?
Yer, seen a bit about him, they call him a striker, but only 5 foot 10 and tends to play as a creative midfielder, possible long term replacement for Pablo.
I presume the lad will go in to the academy? Weren't we supposed to get another Wigan lad along with him?
I don't like youtube videos as anyone can be made to look good but..... Looks a tubby little fecker for a young lad! Bielsa will want a couple of stone off him.
They’re describing him as the next Wayne Rooney, I didn’t realise they meant weight wise, I assumed they meant he liked older ladies
You mean to say that you wouldnt be rushing to sign any of these players based on this youtube clip. Some excellent outfield ball control, great defensive situational awareness, and total concentration from a variety of keepers
Whilst I thought some of the own goals were a bit harsh for inclusion on the video, the one at 1:12 reminds me of myself, pure class , and if we have any goal keeping experts out there, I'll look forward to hearing their analysis of some of the clips
Totally agree with you. Never quite got the obsession to resign former players every transfer window.
I don't think it's an obsession. I think it's more of a player likely wanting to come back and play for us. I would have been quite happy to get Milner back for this season if he hadn't signed an extension at Liverpool for example. Not necessarily because he used to play for us but because he would bring huge PL experience and improve squad depth in at least 3 positions. Add in to the fact that he has always been a model professional and he would have been a great signing. The fact that because he used to play for us and that he has always said good things about us obviously brings him to the forefront of fans minds. There are other options similar out there. He just springs to mind because we know him. As for Rose, Delph and Cook I'm not sure what they would add quality wise at this stage.
I kind of get that but it always seems to have been the same (not necessarily on this forum) how many times did we read about smith, bechio et al. Let's just move on.
