There no arguments. Merely discussing semantics.

What you are saying is that if you cancel today, you will pay the next two monthly installments at the prevailing rate. Correct.

But that's precisely what OLM's post said as well, unless I'm reading it wrong. He just cautioned against just stopping payments and assuming that those next two payments will definitely be zero, based on the last two months, because you can't yet know what the next two monthly charges will be. And that's what you are saying above.

    Perfect agreement!

The fact that you have then stated in a post, when it was suggested that you agree with OLM, that you don't agree with OLM when you obviously do, makes this an even purer slab of 24 carat not606!

Of course, if someone had cancelled two months ago and had been made to pay two lots of £30 then they have a real interest in the T&Cs, because they've been overcharged. But is anyone claiming to be, or speak for, that guy?

Also, as Ehab is on holiday and no announcement has yet been made to membership holders about the payments restarting, basic customer care principles would lead us to conclude that the current status quo will persist and no payment will be taken in two working days' time - though I'm aware I've sneaked some flawed assumptions in this sentence.......

It doesn't really matter what the next two months are charged at (though I do expect charges will be made for one, if not both, making the HulluvaGuy's assumption even more flawed), as the club have been forcing anyone who cancels to pay for two months a their contracted amount, nobody has been able to cancel for free during during the suspension of payments.

Really? Wow, so my fictional guy exists. I guess the club's judgement is that no-one will take them to court for the sake of £60. Could be interesting!

Be aware that the Allams will be prepared to spend thousands on legal fees to prevent a supporter getting away with 60 quid.

It does seem that there has been no announcement of payments not being taken in August. It was announced on June 11th that July wouldn't be taken. I'm sure most people are assuming there won't be a payment taken for August given the current virus situation, it would be a bit of a dick move for the club to just start taking payments again without warning. I'm sure Ehab wouldn't do that...

People are daft enough to pay it without question, it seems. Just because the club are charging it doesn’t make it legally enforceable.
My legal reading of the terms is they can’t charge me.
As for the poster who said we were in agreement , did you miss the post at 12.44pm yesterday:
“Legally, you haven't a leg to stand on, they almost certainly will take action if you just stop paying and unless you want the bill to double, you'll pay it.”

That is as opposite an option as you can get!?
Anyone who has paid two months is just a victim of passive ignorance. I will pay if I have to, but the club can refer me to the legal basis to charge me first. The only possible get out I can see is multiple versions of the t and c (then it’s plausible to claim even they don’t know the real basis!).

All the club has to do is file a claim online for a CCJ, which costs £25 and is added to the debt (along with their admin fees), then when someone receives the CCJ, they either have to fight it (and risking getting a CCJ and being unable to get credit anywhere), or pay it.

If it's not contested, then judgement is awarded automatically and if it remains unpaid, it goes straight to bailiffs (and there's extra charges for them as well).

I know it's not really my business, but why are people cancelling now anyway? Just because we've been relegated? Bit weird for me that.

Had enough. I can’t justify the expense of travelling for league one or whatever it is. If I was local I’d keep it up. Just doesn’t appeal if I am brutal.

As for the club filing a claim, they would lose every day of the week if they hadn’t mitigated the dispute through communication first.
I have asked them to comment on my view of the contract, so I wait to see what they say. If they just stuck a claim in the judge would throw it out as unreasonable given there is a clear issue raised.

If they ignore my email, good luck at court! If they reply and I agree I will pay them.

In my case because the government have suggested that crowds will be back in stadiums in October. I don't think that will be safe and I don't want to pay for a ticket i won't be using. Tomorrow is the last day to cancel without having to pay for October. I'm sure I'll be back when it is safe.

So are you proposing to cancel today and stop paying any more money, no matter what the August and September payments will be? If so, you are clearly in breach of the T&Cs by your own analysis.

    Read my posts please!

I have cancelled already and aug / sept are my dates.
I have said several times I will only pay if they can show the term that negates the pretty clear bit about paying what I would have otherwise paid in my two month cancellation.
Jumping in at the end and asking me to explain for you (when I have been clear) is a bit div.
I have told the club that I will pay what the whole membership are charged on those dates.

End of argument, payments have been reinstated, so there's no chance of anyone getting out of paying...

HULL CITY WOULD LIKE TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING UPDATE ON MEMBERSHIPS…

Following the worldwide spread of Coronavirus, the Club would like to take this opportunity to thank its fans for their continued support during what has been a difficult and uncertain time. As a result of the pandemic we made the decision to suspend Membership payments for May after the announcement that the season was to be postponed.

In order to ensure our Members were not out of pocket, payments for June and July were also suspended following the news that football would return behind closed doors for the remainder of the season.

With the government announcing that supporters are likely to be allowed back into stadiums from October, the Club can confirm Membership payments will recommence in August as we look forward to welcoming you back to the KCOM Stadium during the 2020/21 season.

It is highly likely that once crowds do return there will be restrictions across all venues, potentially limiting numbers to a third of total capacity. With that in mind, we will ensure our members receive priority in such a scenario.

Should the government impose any further delay in allowing crowds to return to stadiums, the Club will again ensure Members do not miss out by offering suitable forms of compensation such as access to free match streaming or more payment holidays.

Thank you again for your continued support at this time.

I feel like my emails might have caused that!
    ****ish move.
    Maybe even open to challenge.
    But not by me alone!!

I’m certain this is tied in to the cancellation loophole. I bet they have had urgent legal advice and solved it by punishing everyone.
