Charlton owners still to provide evidence of funding to EFL. Lawyer involved is same one that was involved in Bury's demise with striking similarities...

If I was a Charlton fan I'd be concerned but not too desperate as yet

I think the more likely route for Charlton will be administration but with a takeover to follow

Unlike Bury they have a pretty big fan base and therefore will be more attractive to other buyers

Simple. Two reasons. they lied and money changed hands, That's my contribution to the conspiracy thread. Alternatively, . the people checking for the football authorities couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, Have we got a cock up thread yet?

I thought they did prove it....but then moved the money out, (or to put it another way, the club was transfered to another company)...to buy a hotel/casino, I think I read.
I think they did have the money (probably still do) but they are no longer interested in the club, so they forced it into administration

I think the issue here is why would you - during a major world pandemic - buy a club with limited potential / fan base that was already losing money and then 4 weeks later decide to put it into administration

I've never heard of any one doing similar with any other business unless the administration was preplanned for some reason

You don't spend that amount of money and then lose interest 4 weeks later

    Not at all dodgy :emoticon-0114-dull:
