You do realise that looking after your own children while on holiday in France doesn't count as "teaching".
But as previously said I'm not on holiday as I'm not being paid. Technically I'm in a period of unemployment.
So technically get another job then - presumably that's allowed. Chippy needs a driver for 1 week a month apparently.
I can't work from home but I can't see how you can justify asking someone to go back to work when this pandemic is over IF working at home has allowed them to be just as productive. In this day and age with the technology we have I can't believe more people weren't working from home even before the corona. No office rent, no travel (including the cost, pollution and congestion that comes with it), potentially more flexible hours helping the employee in their home life. What's not to like?
what a bell end. The one good thing to come out of all of this covid lockdown **** is that companies are now starting to realise that they don't actually need office space and bums on seats at desks in order to get stuff done. I work from home and have done for the past 6 years and I absolutely love it. I do miss the office banter but I can still have that to some degree, granted it's not the same. A lot of my customers who I've been speaking to over the past 4 months are seeing tangible benefits from people working from home and I think a lot of businesses are going to be looking at their assets from an estate perspective and streamlining things on that front. Obviously there are certain things that can't be done working from home but a hell of a lot which can. The world has moved on massively in the last 5-10 years, employers expectations have changed, customer's expectations have changed...you either move with the times or you get left behind....or so the saying goes.
Started a new job in April, laptop, screen, chair and desk were couriered to me and I haven't physically met anyone I work with yet. Likely to be working from home until the end of the year.
A mate of mine who writes software for a company in Newcastle has been told he will now be working from home permanently. I have been working from home all my (working) life...not writing software however.
The next wave is coming so the incompetence from the tory government has ensured another lock down soon
Has been said that there won’t be a “second wave” by WHO. It will be a continuation of the first wave. I haven’t a clue what they mean either!!!
they ended lockdown too early.. if they just wanted till it was 0 reported cases then another 2 weeks later job done let everyone out and quarenteen everyone coming into the country test them then release unless infected .
