    We are considering relocating back to the north east from Manchester having lost my job but still needing to get a bigger house. My family all live in Washington so that's the obvious option but you seem to get even more for your money in chester le street and surrounding area. Anyone live there who can recommend? Been away 30 years now.

    I’ve lived in Chester Le street fo 30 years and so has scores of members of my family
    It’s a smashing place to live and a reasonable area to socialise around the town
    There is many houses for sale from 80k to shall we say for argument sake 300k
    Beacause if you are going to spend that much you will most likely be out of town
    However there is some good value houses available
    Google the area and have a look around because sometimes parking could be a problem
    If you need any help or info on houses just ask and I will try and help

    Lived in Chester for 40+ years, obviously I recommend it, but can advise on certain areas to keep away from.House prices are currently quite high over here, my daughter is currently looking to buy and getting pipped at the post recently.

    There’s quite a bit of Chester now that I wouldn’t live in rent free. It’s becoming a really rough area, sadly. I’d push a few miles away from there and look at the surrounding villages. It might even be cheaper, again.

    It depends on what part he wants to look at
    There is some very exclusive areas with nice houses
    However if you want to go cheap yes the outlying are better value
    Nevertheless people seem to make a beeline for the town because everywhere else is quiet for socialising and shopping

    <ok>

    I was talking about the areas up behind the shops near the train station, they’re really bad. I suppose it depends what lifestyle people are looking for really. Waldridge is really nice, I’m there a lot with the dog and that’s within walking distance of Chester town centre. Houses are a little cheaper there, too.

    It depends on how much you pay the areas you mean are the council avenues
    I worked for many years in Chester Le street and the areas
    In peoples houses as council worker
    A few years ago now
