Looking on other websites it's sad to see Troy Deeney getting so much abuse from our own fans. No wonder he might feel a bit less motivated. You'd think from some comments he hadn't scored 130 odd goals for the club. Sure he hasn't been at his best but why do they need to "hate him" and say he " has a pea size brain"? It's not like there are too many other options and well it's up to the manager to take him out if he is injured. Someone even said why do our fans love him ! Must be a new supporter who has only been a far for a short time.
Well Troy hasn't played that much - probably part of the problem. And now he is playing injured but that isn't his fault. We did well when Deeney did come back for a spell ofcouse.
I wonder if he needs a rethink..... a break to heal etc? ,,,and maybe to step down from his regular role?

Jose Holebas leaves Watfordfc with a record of getting a yellow card in the Premier League more frequently (every 241 mins) than Troy Deeney has scored a goal (every 277 mins). You have to respect that.
Pozzos have taken out a loan. Trying to get the money to ensure we can bounce back if relegation happens ? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...s-watford-agreed-borrowing-facility-barclays/
Pozzo and Duxbury have spoken. Guess it's up to them to find the right man who they think can work with the players...and Director of football. https://www.watfordfc.com/news/to-watford-fans-from-gino-pozzo-scott-duxbury
yes, a good statement really... with acceptance of responsibility.... lets hope they take this forward.......
There is roughly six weeks before the new season, and you would normally have the squad together for at least four of those weeks. That should mean a new manager, sorting out players contracts, getting new players in, plus 101 other changes all in two weeks. Think it could be a bit of a scramble.
I hope we get to keep him for the season... I guess he will be just starting traiining etc in rehab... so maybe he will stay for a while
Ditto. The transfer window closes around the same time that he was originally mooted to return, so hopefully other clubs may be put off by that.
Holebas on why he left - with a couple of idiotic reader comments underneath. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/18612484.jose-holebas-admits-feeling-left-watford/
New director of football on the way? "Watford are in talks with ex-Italy striker Cristiano Lucarelli over a potential director of football role at Watford. He is currently the Head Coach at Catania. [ @SkySportsNews ] #watfordfc" Giraldi is under pressure from fans and probably the Pozzos.
