It’s all about how fit he’ll be. If he doesn’t crumble in ore-season and starts the season fit, he could be good for them. I’m hoping he pulls a chin hair end of August, misses ore-season and spends the rest of the season nursing a strain whilst filming adverts for Happy Shopper’s Own brand moisturiser.
You can imagine the call to Eddie... "Yeah, Eddie real soz about the relegation thing. Yeah, yeah Eddie, erm I still love Brnmuff. Always been my dream to play for them again. Yeah, I was just about to sign, cos I was practicing my badge tapping and arse licking, just like we said when you met me in Blackpool. Oh right you are Eddie, that was Jurgen now I come to think of it. So yeah I'm really interested still in signing Eddie, yeah let me get down there. Oh no Eddie, you won't see me in Thailand with some young ladyboy, signing a Brighton shirt".
Well maybe rowing will sort out his injury problems, although I'm not sure how you do physio to fix ****ing lying. Maybe a stoma bag to divert all that bullshit which comes from his chops.
Harrison Reed getting plenty of praise after his performance this evening - did anyone catch it? Wonder if Ralph will wait and have a look to see if he will replace Hojbjerg after all. The way people are going on about his recent performances he must be playing a blinder!
****cunt - that's ****ing priceless. It's so getting used on one of my Teams calls tomorrow, and I know exactly who to call it. The little ****cunt
His more to Liverpool was plagued by injuries and Lallana was unable to achieve his potential after his move. To be honest, I still feel he played his best football for us. When he left, I expected Lallana to become a talisman player for England but his flirtation in the England squad was far briefer than his talent deserved. Ultimately, he was over-shadowed by Henderson. Of the Southampton players Liverpool signed, I think that only VVD and Mane have been out and out successes. This is not unexpected. Lallana, Lovren and Clyne can all be seen as failing to live up to the expectations. If you consider Wanyama's injury prone spell at Spurs too, you could have argued that the break up of Poch's team did not necessarily improve the fortunes of these players. Ironically, I think it is Poch himself whose reputation has been enhanced since leaving Saints.
I watched it, HR plays exactly the same role as Romeu. More terrier like than menacing Rottweiler and hasn’t got that ‘nasty’ element (yet). Personally I would consider keeping him as our cover for midfield even with PEH is thin as we saw last weekend
He said yesterday that unless he was getting regular playing time, staying at saints would be difficult. I've always rated him but I don't see him accepting a back up role. He seems Taylor made for the pressing game but I think he could move permanently this year...hope I'm wrong.
His passing and variety of passes played is better than Romeu. It’s a tricky one. If we’re signing McKennie and selling PEH then Reed still isn’t going to be anything more than part of a rotation through JWP/McKennie/Reed, with Romeu as backup. I guess we’ll find out soon because they need to choose if we’re selling or not.
If he were to be used in the same role as Romeu has been this season he would be playing a fair bit - certainly enough to prove he deserves to start. Romeu has had 20 starts and 10 appearances off the bench.
Various reports this morning linking us with West Ham’s Fredericks. Ralph has said we are looking at other RB’s but I think it’s a case of saying this so that Spurs might be more likely to get a deal in place for selling KWP and buying Pierre. There’s also reports that Spurs have only offered 15m for Pierre but if that is cash plus KWP that’s a different story and a great deal.
To be fair Harrison Reed is a top Championship or lower Premier League player. If we want to improve we need better players. I think Harrison Reed is 25 now so needs to be playing regularly not being a bit part player so as much as i wanted him to succeed at Saints he isn't right for us and now we aren't right for him. He deserves to be at a decent club so I hope he gets a permanent move to Fulham.
Think if Fulham go up that will be it for Reed, would be a good move for him. Fredericks is rapid but can’t recall too much else about him. Definitely makes sense to be looking at other RBs as the KWP deal will be messy
