I have a feeling that the free transfer market will be a lot busier than usual this time. There could be 1 or 2 bargains to be had.
I think the losers are going to be lower division clubs for whom the odd decent transfer fee is a financial lifeline I just hope that we don't see further clubs in financial trouble come the Autumn
“I want to play as many games as I can. Seeing the young boys coming through here, getting games and improving, definitely had an impact on my decision. Hopefully I can follow them. I won’t stop running, I will always work hard for the badge – and hopefully I will score a few goals along the way. I think work ethic should be the foundation of any footballer. It’s definitely something I strive for.” - George Thomas the new Jamie mackie
Sometimes a player needs to take a knock back and refine their desire, passion and skill after being let go by a club. Ask Eze, he’ll tell you. If the kid has it in him and wants it badly enough maybe he’ll come good and make it too. I’m not writing off anyone who’s prepared to come to the club and give it a go. Welcome lad and good luck.
"George Stanley Thomas is a professional footballer who plays for Championship club Queens Park Rangers and the Wales national team." His middle name is "STANLEY"
Clearly a key factor in the decision to sign him We need to be looking for players with middle names like Les, Rodney, Andy.... Why have the club not thought of this before??
According to WLS we want both Hugill and Amos back, have made an offer to Wigan's administrators for Moore, but our priority is a CB with physicality and experience. All sounds good to me as far as it goes.
If the deal for Hugill is 1.2 mill then it could be a good deal (see article below). But if WHU want anything near the 8 mill they paid for him, then we should forget it. Plus, there is the issue of wages. https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-jordan-hugill-west-ham-ebere-eze-latest-2807208
Yes, best presser of defenders we had last season. Won the ball with great tackles in very dangerous situations for the opposition. We need someone to do that. Unfortunately that was mainly early on in the season, maybe because after then he got played mostly in a defensive 2 in midfield rather than the more attacking 3.
The Guardian are reporting WBA and Villa also now interested in Eze. They also have WetSpam interested in Manning as well as Eze. If we could just swap Hugill for Manning I'd be happy. Read rumours though that Palace will pay £28m for Eze.
