My wife reckoned I would get the name of the lead member of the Black Eyed Peas wrong!

    I said “Will I Now”?!

Had to follow a group of cyclists this morning in my car. Roughly 20 of them, spread over about 50, 60 yards. Now because the road was narrow and winding, there was no way that I could overtake all of them safely, and because they didn't leave any gaps I couldn't overtake them in stages. Result was that I drove at 10 to 12 mph for nearly 4 miles before I was able to get past, and I had at least 10 vehicles behind me all waiting to do the same.
I appreciate that cyclists have a right to be on the road, however if it had been a motor vehicle holding up traffic over several miles, they would actually be breaking the law if they don't pull over to let vehicles past when possible.
Annoying to say the least, but the ignorant bunch in their lycra today didn't even acknowledge that their little hobby was effectively a moving road block for as long as they wanted it to be.
I'm sure that some people will tell me that it only added 10 minutes to my journey and that we all have to share the road but it meant that I was late, and I was late because of selfish ****ers who think that they can do whatever they want to, and everybody else can **** off if they don't like it.
And after 10 minutes of following the flabby, middle aged, lycra clad ass that was trying to eat its own bike saddle, I felt like I needed to wash my eyes. Not. A. Pretty. Sight.

    Rant over.

I always try to keep as far left as I can when a car comes. I always look over my shoulder every few seconds to see if cars are approaching from behind. I would say that it is difficult for cars to pass cyclists and it’s hard sometimes to get out the way. If there are two of you cycling, it can be better for a car to pass you if you are side by side as it’s less travelling time. I can’t imagine how to get passed 10-20 cyclists but I never travel with that many.

I also use my eyes for the driver too; I’ll let him know when I know it’s clear for him to pass me.

I’m sure you’d love to be stuck behind my golden Lycra-clad arse.

Luckily FLT, having never seen your arse I will always and forever picture Kylie's. I find most cyclists are pretty reasonable, but I have even come across groups on the same stretch of road that are actually doing pelaton stuff like they're practicing on a track. Makes me wish I was carrying a passenger armed with a bullhorn and a baseball bat

    At an auction yesterday.

I bought a signed photo of Ronnie Corbett, while my friend bought a signed photo of Ronnie Barker.

So it was a good buy from me, and a good buy from him.

That's a bit tricky if you live nowhere near a motorway though. Cornwall, E.Anglia & the IoW for instance.

I live 20+ miles from the nearest motorway, it would need a 3 hr lesson just to spend an hour on the motorway

A man is buying a banana, an apple and two eggs.

The female cashier says: " You must be single."

The man answers: "Wow, how did you know that?!"

    Cashier: "Because you're ugly."
