    I think it is because money is a plastic mix of some kind so the virus stays active on it.

    Only the thing is, all I posted was the actual ****ing facts. That’s literally what happened in terms of the chain of events. So that post is yet another straw man, and merely you exposing your complete ignorance again.

    I never passed comment on the veracity of the Oxford Uni report, as I’ve not read it, and neither have you btw you pompous ****ing chod. However you’re obviously an expert on it, despite this, so you can explain exactly why that report was so wrong, given you obviously have some serious credentials in the field of virology.

    Underlying issues covers anything from diabetes to asthma to obesity.

    The excess death stats are irrefutable, so explain away 65,000 excess deaths. Go on......I’ll wait.

    I had A4 paper delivered to me the other day, all covered and stored in plastic wrapping. I know I've had clothes delivered in plastic wrapping before. I find it hard to believe that paper/plastic money is any worse, yet they are insistent that the virus can't be transmitted via by parcels. Either that or the broadcasts put out on SKY are wrong. Only other thing I can think of is the coinage, so for every note you handed over, it's likely to end in loose change exchanging hands.

    I was under the impression that it could be passed on through hard surfaces such as plastic. Has there been new information on that?

    Another pathetic and truly offensive strawman as I said absolutely nothing of the sort.

    The fact that you’ve felt the need to create that disgusting narrative as you couldn’t actually counter the simple point, says everything about you.

    You deserve the ****ing bin for that post tbh, you truly disgusting old ****.

    No, you are right. Another reason that I'm questioning the information being constantly broadcasted out, that the virus cannot be passed via letter and parcels, but that is rather a broad statement, that does not cover a multitued of sins, that parcels come wrapped in.

    So for example if it only lives on HARD surface, that I would assume does not include plastic wrappings, which in turn would also not include money (notes), unless they are counting notes as a hard plastic surface.

    I'm likely to tend to steer towards it being something to do with the coinage, in why cashless payments have to be made. I'm just very distrusting when it comes to card payments, in the sense of opportunistic to advance this stage of payment, out to the main of the population.

    This very recent article states;

    Little is known about how long COVID-19 might survive on currency. Laboratory testing on influenza suggests viability lasts from one hour to one day without mucus.

    Nothing has yet been done with COVID-19 survival on cash, though on other surfaces, COVID-19’s survival has again varied.

    https://theconversation.com/you-dont-need-to-worry-about-spreading-the-coronavirus-with-cash-137865

    This older article states;

    WHO later released a statement through MarketWatch which said: "We did not say that cash was transmitting coronavirus."

    Yet the BoE states;

    The Bank of England, which prints the banknotes used in Wales, is also encouraging frequent hand washing, saying notes "can carry bacteria or viruses".

    Now ain't that a surprise! ^^^

    https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/can-you-catch-coronavirus-money-17919965

    However, it appears there is also a posed risk with cashless payments, although I'm not sure how, or what that risk is;

    Although there is a risk that any hard surface can carry viral bacteria, experts say the best practice is to thoroughly wash your hands regularly as even using contactless payments with a card, phone or payment terminal poses a risk of passing on the infection.

    That previous comment was an utterly vile strawman and I rightly called you clean out on it.

    I’m hardly surprised that you can’t or won’t understand quite why somehow might take genuine to offence to it though, and so reply with something like that.

    It is clearly evident. Every country that went into lockdown and closed its borders immediately had much lower infections and death rates.
