One year rolling contracts, that auto-renew if everyone is agreeable, have to be triggered by a certain date, you don't find out the day before.

Though I expect his is ongoing, otherwise he'd have gone by now.

    What is a rolling contract?
Meaning of rolling contract in English. rolling contract. › a contract that continues until someone decides to end it, rather than one that continues until a particular date: You may be asked to consider whether you prefer a rolling contract, i.e. one which continues until the required period of notice is given.

i suppose you could argue either way - however if you adopt your suggestion then we must assume he's already had his contract extended for a year some time ago and conversely if we adopt my suggestion he has another 12 months anyway unless he's already been notified it is going to be terminated by giving 12 months notice and he's already serving that 12 months notice - either way that wouldn't prevent him from being dispensed with earlier either in accordance with the terms of the contract, eg getting relegated, misconduct etc or being sacked with compensation because they simply wanted to get rid of him

    Two quotes
One is from McCann who has taken a team from play-off contenders to relegation in half a season.
The other is from a manager who has just missed out on the play-offs.

    Which is which?

    "It's difficult to react,
I'm here because it's obligatory to be here, but I don't have words. It's a disaster.
I'm so sorry. Sorry to the fans for the last few games.

For me, it doesn't feel real, but it is the truth. it's just unacceptable."

    OR

"Everyone has to take responsibility, we will, we'll reflect and reset and look at it after the next two weeks and we'll go again."

I noticed this too. Fair play to Lamouchi. Very poor from McCann.

Keep reading that McCann and Cliff Edge have accepted 20% cuts in wages for next season. Yet the players have 50% wage cuts for the relegation to L1. Says it all really about doesn’t it.

Had anyone decided what’s happening with our first team coach yet? Or has Ehab gone on holiday?

I wouldn’t keep them on with an 80% pay cut. Terrible. It does look like a managed relegation. Players 50% pay cut. One tactic McCann 20% pay cut? That in itself looks dodgy.

If it is a managed relegation that would be scandalous and I would hope the EFL would throw the book at them all. Again if true I wonder if the players were complicit. As professionals I would hope they had more about them but the last 20 games were certainly suspicious

On hearing they may need to look for a new coach, Ehab's probably trying to work out if they can do it by bike or lift share.

It's a managed decline, but it obviously wasn't a managed relegation, it's a disaster for everyone.

It's uttlery ridiculous and non-sensical to talk of or buy into this 'managed relegation' conspiracy. It's absolute bollocks. We were just ****, and others that looked near gone picked up more points, way more in some cases, than expected. We did somehow manage to beat Middlesboro (which we wouldn't have bothered doing under the conspiracy would we).

They said a few weeks back that they were working on 2 plans - 1 for Championship, 1 for if they were relegated. That is fair enough; sensible.

Where does this 20% pay cut for McCann't and Cliff Edge come from? GB states he keeps reading about it, but I haven't seen or heard anything other than the odd unsubstantiated rumour peddled on here. Not saying it isn't correct, I could absolutely believe it's happened.

Hey Tom I am instructing you to not score any goals so we can cut your pay 50% and you Longy, today you have to let 8 goals in so we can cut your pay 50%. Not sure that would work?

No denying we were just ****e,but,it was the lack of effort, heart, guts and passion that suggest to me the man's not up to the job because he has absolutely no man management skills and he's a passionless sideline manequin.

We have some decent players under the right manager but that's not McCann.
