    No, this one is fine.
I think mine was a bit too detailed, I've always been quite verbose. Added to that, it resulted in a surprising loss.

This game had little meaning for both teams. Hopefully we will give a good account of ourselves but a home win seems inevitable. Incidentally, can anyone explain why having been in the PL for a disrupted season and in receipt of parachute payments sometime soon? we are so hard up?

No income from ticket sales, hospitality, merchandise etc, plus returning season ticket monies is all income lost, but I don't believe we are hard up,just carefull with the money we have.

I think we also have to pay a share of the £330m rebate due broadcasters Sky etc. I don't know if each team would have to pay the same amount. Sky has allowed the EPL to defer payments of £170 until the 2021-2022 season.

Don't forget we also ended last financial year with an operating loss of £38M (2018--2019 Accounts). On top of that, being in the EPL incurs its own costs, e.g. ground improvements and the cost of installing and operating VAR, not to mention the huge rise in staff and player wages. Then there are continuing improvements to Colney and the cost of the Academy. People seem to think that transfer fees are the club's only real expenditure!

A lot of teams would like to demand their money back for that one. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Of course there are operating costs, just like with any business. Do you happen to know what kind of ground improvements are required by the EPL? I've heard this before but never researched it.

Whilst I'm sure there are some requirements a team like Leeds or Ipsh#t would need to make, given there very lengthy absenses, I would think us yoyoers have only very minimal changes required if at all, as they have likely been addressed in previous campaigns.

    Bah!

We had to re-lay the entire pitch last summer after just 2 years of reduced maintenance in the Championship. Media facilities likewise.

As well as telling his players that tomorrow's match is a chance to push themselves forward for selection against Real Madrid, Pep has set them another target -- getting to 100 goals for the season for the second time. Fortunately they only need 3 more. If it had been Liverpool and Klopp had set the same target, it would have been 18 .........

We're used to the "men against boys" tag; "lambs to the slaughter" keeps coming into my mind for this one. Last resort is that time-honoured phrase, "Hope I'm wrong"! <yikes>

Why do we persevere with short goal kicks?
