Bottom of the league. Unwanted statistics at every turn. A complete **** up after Christmas. No show at vital press conferences. No sign of passion or fight. Wise cracking assistant defensive coach side let’s in 7 in one half. Rolling contract at an end after Cardiff. Loss of confidence of players and fans. Why the **** has he not been sacked. It’s just pathetic.
Give Nigel Pearson a call....I mean yeah, the fricking press conferences will be dull as fk, but i'd certainly back him over McCann with the current crop of players
If Terry remains in charge next season, I for one will be cancelling my membership, away games only for me!!
Walked away for his 'dream' Leicester job, if anything it'd be a case of why would the Allams work with him rather than the other way round
You're right. He wouldn't touch the two unprofessional failures with a barge pole. In fact we've probably seen the last of managers with the calibre of Pearson, for a very long time at our club.
A recently relegated football club. New owners arrive bearing gifts. Splendid, he thinks, keep the majority of this squad, spend a few quid here and there, and it looks a decent shout for promotion. Not long after NP said something along the lines of "not what it said on the tin" and then wakes up to a public spat being conducted via the local newspaper. Leicester looms over the horizon. Dream job or not, I believe he was the first to call out the Allams, notwithstanding the daily mail row.
his players say he is nothing like his interview persona. they couldnt explain why he likes to wind the media up a la the strachan/dalglish awkward bugger stylie. at the time he was boss here i couldnt believe our fans criticism of his interviews/personality by people who didnt realise it was just his hatred of the media and you coukld tell most of the time he was seething being asked inane questions and most of the time he just wanted to throw a punch at them. he is a stubborn fooker and sometimes that works against him. you simply cannot argue agains his great escape at leicester (and watford?) with 6 wins out of 7. and the side went on the next season to win the title with very few additions and almost in spite of the tinkermans management.
I got chatting to him at Winterton before a pre-season friendly - he was brilliant, friendly and signed my g'sons shirt he got every player walking past to sign it as well. I don't mind his radio/tv persona either.
He has been on Humberside and inferred that all is okay between him and the allams , and he will not be resigning. Also mentioned the big plan for the future , and as it's a secret would remain in house . Burnsy asked for information about the plan but got no joy .
Does he realise 20 games played since New year's Day 1 game won. - a last minute win we probably didn't deserve No clean sheets Equaled our record defeat in a game were we conceded 6 goals in 18 minute spell We lost this match 8 nil and some of players swapped shirts We conceded 5 goals once and 4 goals twice at home A six point return from 60 on offer - over a season would be about 14 points ---- gulp. Be a man - RESIGN
