Nah we constantly let other teams mug us off in the transfer market when we sell. If they want him they can pay the 25 bags, end of.
This. Ings has the quality to play for a top club, but with his injury history/lack of upper end physical attributes he doesn't really fit the profile most seek. There are only two clubs that I could see maybe going down that route, and both would owe to sheer panic on their side. The first is Everton, but I cannot see them getting into the £50m+ range. The second is Arsenal, if the rumours of Aubameyang's departure are correct, but I doubt he'd be atop their list.
Ings had the big move and it didn’t work out. Here he is the star, 21+ goals a season and (must) be a shoe in for England. He would be mad.
I cannot see Ings going anywhere if he has any say in it. Having had his time at Liverpool he knows what it's like to move to a (big) club and it not work out how you hope it might. He's back at his home club and it's gone fantastically well, why risk throwing that away again? (Very different form e..g Hojbjerg's perspective) I can imagine Everton would be interested, they've lacked a top striker all season. Leicester: it was Brendan who signed him for Liverpool I think? So he's clearly a fan. But the most likely if a move did happen would be Spurs - if Kane leaves. But I don't see him as a Mourinho player at all. Final point - I don't think there's any chance Ralph signs a 4 year deal if he thinks there's a possibility of his star player being sold this summer
Sounds like a hopeful comment. Like, I think Mark Hughes knows what he's doing..... Or Kat won't sell us to some dodgy shyster...... Or
I wonder if Jimenez would be first choice for a club looking to bag a striker. He's a bit older but he has two year's track record. Let's hope so.
Seriously guys, some of you look for trouble. IMO Ings ain't going anywhere. Enjoy the moment and don't worry about things that are unlikely to happen and we can't control
He’ll be linked with a lot of teams until he signs a new contract. He’s impressed in the Championship and is entering the final year of his deal. He’s 26 in January too so I’m sure he’s not looking to renew with us unless he has some guarantees of game time. I’d hope that we give him a shot instead of selling for £5m and a percentage. That would be a bit disappointing.
