Archers; what l like about Che is that he puts his foot through the ball and such a clean striker of the ball. In that respect he reminds me of Ricky. Now if he be as prolific....
You’re right, he knows how to strike a ball, if he’s got time and space to do so. Maybe all he needs is confidence; and maybe he is still learning how to make time and space, at this level.
I don’t know. Give it a week or two of incorrect decisions denying them goals and penalties, whilst their opponents are reaping the benefits of those decisions, and they will be yearning for the good old days. On Saturday Brentford should have had a penalty, that would probably have been given by VAR, before Stoke scored the only goal of the game. That could have been the boost towards 3 points and promotion being in their own hands.
There was, his arms and hand was above head level - that is his problem and shame we didn't capitalise on it.
You’re spot on with this. He’s got talent, but is still a bit slow in shifting himself into shooting positions, and his anticipation is a yard slow too. I’m very hopeful that will come in time, and we then have a player on our hands.
I think he may already have it, just his confidence took a hit. A couple of his early chances in the season that were oh so close, and I think he would have been a different player. In some respects it is a shame the season is about to end next week, as he will only end up on 5 Prem goals for their season.
This. You see it when he plays. He delays the strike by a second. That time is the difference between Championship and Premier League defending. He’s doing the right things, so I believe that fraction quicker timing will come. There was a moment yesterday when he had just a slight delay in their box that have a defender the chance to get a block. He’ll be fine.
